  1. Fast shipping got my cog today fits perfectly and runs smooth! Owasco look out here we come
  2. Just a shout out to a NY company that has saved me from buying new rigger. They have a great selection of fishing gear, paddles ( New sharks), unique spoons and parts for downriggers. THANKS for an easy web site and great schematics. Fish307.com I'm not a paid supporter, lol!
  3. Great work Les! Seth Green rigs, old school but I'm sure effective. Sounds crazy but we didn't touch a LL under 3.2 sog this past weekend, seemed like they liked it on the speed increase. Bright colors yellow, chartruse, my favorite purple or green was cold. Ten color cores 30-50' was best. Great job getting out with your son!
  4. Little less classy but OMalleys at Kidders pt. Is an awesome place to tie the boat up and get a great meal n glass of beer or wine.
  5. Head to T- falls area very few weeds, Lakers right down the chute, 90-110' down. FF on mag dipsy. Spoons will work also, salmon out there and browns too. They liked it a bit slower. The shallow bite 40-60' of water was ok but it was hit n miss
  6. That's some great professional insight Nick Good luck finishing up this year. Seneca was tough for everyone this year but I still love fishing it. If anyone wants a first class charter look up Nick. http://www.reelstoriesfishingcharters.com
  7. Great job, my guess is that you may have been going a bit fast for Lakers, the salmon were hitting at 3-4mph sog this weekend. Always cool to hook up! Great advice by all on here.
  8. The paddle seems to produce well on slow days like today, I lengthen the lead to 30" + We had a bunch of short strikes today, and most fish were barely hooked. also forgot to mention all fish but one went back healthy..
  9. Launched at T- falls because of time constraints. Took my son and his wife out for her first trolling experience. Looked for browns early only found a few 15-18" guys, not sure where the bigger browns went. Headed out to deep water and found some really nice Lakers on paddle n fly down 90-110' Gave Bob Barker (flt spoon) a try on deep rigger he produced a nice 7lber. The big fish of the short morning came on the mag dipsy, just under ten lbs. Iron Duke uv extravaganza was the big boy producer!
  10. You have em dialed in Alex, great job!
  11. We also had a day of 20+ fish without lamprey the wife was happy with that, she hates those snake like creatures!
  12. The purples were cold this weekend, FLT anaconda 44' down was hot in 50-65'. I agree with the above posts, start early and keep changing lures and checking for weeds. The cheater is very easy and deadly.36" of mono with two swivels one on main line that is placed on after connected to the down rigger.( Slider) If it doesn't fire after ten min, change up speed or colors. Good luck!
  13. Yea we got a bit sideways at Omalleys!!
  14. Launched T falls 6:30, headed south a bit to set up shop on a North troll, started out with two ten color lead cores, two five color and riggers set at 44 and 55 with cheaters. Pretty much non stop action in 50-70 for most of the morning four browns, many salmon, one keeper, half dozen Lakers mostly small. Made our way to Omalleys with a cooler full of fish by 11:30. Too much fun! Our best spoon and color was chartruse and orange speed was 2.88-3.22 that speed didn't keep the Lakers off. Depth was either50-70 or out deep wherever there was a bait pod.
  15. Was thinking that the fuel fill line may be getting water in there and then upon start up the water that got in is the first that gets burnt making it run ok at idle but not full throttle. Just a thought..
  16. Great job Justin! Not too many guys work harder than you!
  17. How about a moisture breach somewhere? Upon start it would take a bit to get rid of it then run fine... Thanks for the report! Great job
