  2. Haven't heard anything on this topic. Are they still having it??? Normally I receive stuff in the mail but have not got anything this year. Anyone know what is going on?
  3. no snubber here, 40 lb big game with flashers and 30 lb fluorocarbon with spoons
  4. 2009 second Saturday of season. I was shaking like a lief. Will never forgot it.
  5. I use the flextone bone collector. Looks like a antler on the top part off the call. Seems to work pretty well
  6. Very slow morning down in allegany county. Have seen a button buck and 2 doe. Nothing like yesterday morning. Guess those frosty morning help.
  7. Totally support an antler restriction. Doesn't matter if it's 3 or 4 on one side. But in order for ny to get big bucks they need to push the gun season back a couple of weeks. Ny is one of the only states that has a gun season in the "peak of the rut" they also need to cut the gun season down to 2 weeks. But this is just my two cents.
  8. Went right out to 70 feet and started fishing. The screen looked really good but couldn't move a rod. Moved out a little bit deeper and when we hit 110 feet the 220 dipsy starts screaming. Get that fish near the boat and the 66 rigger goes off! Finally get the dipsy in and a 23 pounder hits the deck. The rigger is a nice 25 pounder. We picked away the rest of the day till 3 and managed 3 more majors and probably 15 lake trout. All in all a very good day on the water.
  9. Not that we killed them or anything but we were hooking up with 4-6 majors a day outta Mexico this week. Heading towards the plant. Getting them in 110 fow down off bottom
  10. Have been out of Mexico the last 3 days pretty slow. If you boat 2-3 majors a day you seem to be doing pretty good. Mostly fished the skinny water. Good luck
  11. I think it was called cowes got it at the boat doctor in olcott. Worked very well for us
  12. Great report sounds like the fishing is getting better! Were you in 300 feet of water most of the day Sunday as well?
  13. over the limit, where have you been doing good on the eyes? how far out and down ect. Thanks
  14. Seeing how the salmon fishing is not very good right now i was wondering how the walleye bite has been. Have not been over to erie in a couple weeks but was doing very good in early July. Was looking to fish the Barcelona/Dunkirk area if possible. Thanks for the help much appreciated.
  15. Just sent you both a pm. I will be up at the oak on friday will provide a report after.
  16. I did hear that the brown bite was pretty good Inside but never tried for them
  17. pretty slow day for us. did manage one good king 21 lbs and 3 kings around 10 lbs plus a few small steel heads. Best water was 285-330 a little east. down temps were all over the place
  18. Im interested in one of the 800s. give me a call or text. 585-610-8738. thanks bryan
  19. Try bumping your speed up. I think fish hawks run a little faster than most down speeds. I like to run between 2.9 and 3.1. Also don't be afraid to run lures in cooler depths. I like to start in 46 and run my spread up. Copper will prolly be a better choice than lead core. 350-450 feet. Hope this helps.
  20. Attach the weight at the knot where the leader and copper meet. And I would probably say a 400 foot is the best bet. Good luck.
  21. you can try putting a couple once weight attached with a pinch pad right where the cooper and leader meet. This will let the cooper out easier and wont backlash as often.
