Been burning the candle at both ends so I decided to sleep in this am. Splash down 7:45am. Two mag wire dipsys one out 180 the other out about 225 both on a two. The deeper was a white with green dot spinny and a Seneca ghost fly the other a reel hooked up fly and a Mountain Dew spinny. Took a bow and a salmon on a 37 ft probe rigger and three lakers on the white with green dot set. Perchecutioner back in the lift by 9:30.

Thanks for the info guys!!! Our trip was awesome. Loons, a baby otter, and two bald eagles up
Close....oh....the bass fishing out of the canoe and kayak was perfect too!! Got ahold of a couple bucket mouths that pulled the kayak around....that's some cool stuff right there!!!

First of all does your sutton have a fixed hook? When pulling copper it is important to bounce the bottom using a spoon with a fixed hook. Yes, every once in awhile you will get zebras or other trash but not that often. When the spoon hits the bottom it makes "a cloud of dust" if you will. This simulation drives lakers crazy. It takes more copper than you think it should so as far as how much wire, Just pull it every once in awhile while letting it out. You will feel the taps when you have hit the bottom. Just like anything else it takes a little time but when you feel that first big laker slam that wire you will understand why refuse to put the victrolas in retirement!!!

Nice job Ed, Hoot and Kinger! I am off Seneca for a couple weeks. Heading up to Raquette lake with the family for awhile. Will be spinning out of the kayak. Taking the Seth green and Sutttons to possibly try some old fashioned trolling out of the canoe!!!

Nice job with Joes Victrola. Thanks for the report! He is a class act and will help you with anything Victrola related well after the purchase! This is a pic of mine that Joe built. It's beat up A little now but when I first bought it it looked like a fine piece of mahogany furniture!

No fleas quite yet. I have run a meat rod with flx tackle and super slims at faster speeds but I only put 3 leads out instead of 5. Obviously more weight would help as well. You may want to just go with beads(barrels) every 20 ft instead of ten. When you consider blowback 10 ft intervals will be pretty tight. There are folks on here that were draggin these rods long before me so I am sure they will pipe in with a bit more info!!! Best of luck!
