Splash down 7 am. South troll with
A mag wire dipsy out 233 pulling a white with green dot spinny and Seneca ghost. 79 ft probe rigger pulling a FLT KOS and 103 ft rigger pulling KOS and a FLT hergenater slider. 2 good lakers. Right away on the wire dipsy and 79 ft rigger.....a bit of down Time...thinking the cold front is killing me when suddenly the 79 rigger fires. Grab that then the 103 rigger fires with the hergenater cheater. Seconds later the wire dipsy starts hammering. Solo with a triple....long story short. 2 salmon, a laker and a boat full of tangled gear!! I'll take it spend the next 15 minutes organizing. Troll for another half hour and call it....I'll take it!!

Wind forecast looked a bit nasty so I decided to sleep in. Ended up being pretty nice out there so here goes... Solo trip...Splash down 9:00 am. Trolled south for a half hour before the 54 ft probe rigger fired with a legal bow. Back in the drink. Spent the next hour never moving a rod so I decided to switch to a laker program. Minutes after I found laker temperature the Fingerlakes tackle king of sting rigger fired. Turned out to be a nice 4 lb bow. Trolled north for a bit more when the 233 ft wire mag dipsy started hammering and peeling drag. Took a while to get the 9.5 lb laker to the boat!! A bit later the 77 ft king of sting rigger fires with a 8.5 lb laker A bit later a 6.5lb laker takes the same spoon. Decide I had my fill of laker action and switch back over to a silver fish program. Running two clean spoon riggers and a mag dipsy also with a clean spoon. Wasn't long before a 20 inch bow made it to the net and back in the drink. Continue a north troll when all hell breaks loose!!! 77 ft king of sting rigger rod is buried and peeling drag. Aerial show begins realizing this one is real!!! Trophy size bow crosses the wire dipsy line and gets tangled still going airborne Grab the wire dipsy rod and continue reeling the fish somehow get the fish mostly in the net while holding 2 rods in the other
Hand when she goes ballistic and escapes. Ugh. Estimated weight 11 to 12 lb. untangle the mess and continue a north troll picking up another good laker. Fleas and weeds present but not a big problem Great day on Seneca!!!

Try bumping your speed up to around 2.7 to 3.0 and run out in 300 to 500 feet of water for the bows.

Got out late....ran a probe rigger at 43 and a rigger at 53. A few misses on the chicken feed but the ice frog landed a nice 7lb laker at 43 over 50. Returned to fight another day! Weeds moved in with a vengeance .....

Lake was rolling pretty bad so perchecutioner was back in her lift by 8:30 am.
