  3. Niagara’s Pro-Am brings Am Division back! The Niagara Pro Am has made a number of changes to the 2016 Tournament based upon feedback it has received on the best way to grow the participation in this event. Specifically, on the Amateur side, the best features from the existing Recreational Open and from the previous Amateur Division have been merged together to create the new Amateur Division for 2016. These features include: All participants will be truly Amateurs, no US Coast Guard licensed Captains will be allowed on any teams; All NYS waters on Lake Ontario are open to fishing; No Observers will be required; The dates have been moved to when the fishing is normally near shore and excellent off of the Niagara County shoreline. This should make the competition more enjoyable and will level the “Trolling Field†so that everyone has a shot at winning; You can start whenever you want, wherever you want, but must be in line by 2:30 pm each day to weigh in at Krull Park in Olcott (Lions Club Pavilion, North); Any combination of your top three Salmon or Trout (only 1 may be a Lake Trout) will be your “box†to be weighed; Online registration is available as late as the Monday before the event (May 16); Entry fees are very reasonable with payouts more than 100 percent of the entry fees plus merchandise prizes. Big fish prizes, too, each day. The intent is to pay back the top four teams each day based on 40-30-20-10 percentage breakdowns and big fish overall. Each of the three days is a separate event. You can choose to fish any of the days that best fit your schedule. If you choose two or three days, then your two best scores will automatically enter you into the competition for the West End Amateur Cup and a check for $500 in Cash. Check out www.lakeontarioproam.net for an entry form.
  4. I run a 97 251 WA w/ twin outboards on a bracket and love the boat. Great platform for Lake Ontario and not a bad size to trailer.
  5. Meeting is tomorrow night 7pm in Newfane
  6. Marine general still has units for 499
  7. I have a set of Trax tech planer reels which were only used a handful of times. Looking to get $125 for the set. I also have a set of big john clamp on guide pulleys. $50 for the set.
  8. They have 15000 total and 10000 acres that is bow only. http://www.sunfishvalleywhitetails.com
  9. Yeah we already rebooked for gun season next year. They run a great operation - food, lodging, guides and the land they have available to hunt is great. PM me if you have any questions
  10. We hit Ohio with Sunfish Valley Whitetails this year and had a lot of fun. Saw a ton of deer and I was the only one to not connect out of our group of 3. My dad scored on a nice 12pt with some cool brow tines and another guy got a really nice 9pt. The buck my dad shot was the smallest out of the 3 shooters he saw. He missed a slammer on The 4th day. We're going back next year.
  11. Check out the summits - mine has been great. Its easy to setup and climb with. I have done several all day sits in them and find it more comfortable than a hang on. I went with the titan to get a little more room and bigger platform. There are several models to choose from.
  12. Hookedup - we are going to Sunfish Valley Outfitters. I can definitely give you a good report when we get back.
  13. That's a great buck! We're headed out there for a 5 day gun hunt Nov 30 - Dec 4th. Hopefully we can get a crack at one like that! Did he hunt with an outfitter?
  14. I agree with you on that shot placement is key. Practice makes perfect, but if you shoot at an alert deer they can still jump the string at 20-30 yards even at 350fps.
  15. No photoshop - if you look in one of the pics there is a normal size coyote to the left of the bigger dogs.
  16. Check out these pics my buddy got on trail cam in Cherry Valley. Almost look to big to be coyotes. They have had some encounters bow hunting with no shots. I'm hoping we can get a couple on the ground during gun season to get a closer look. Cool looking animals!
  17. You need a video camera out there to catch all this action.
  18. Just pulled into work and a nice 8pt was chasing does. Good luck to everyone hunting today!
