  3. Saturday at 10Am I packed up after the morning bite slowed. I motored out to 550+ in front of sandy creek and had good action. We took 8 bites in the 3 hrs there (high sun mid day) . Biggest king 15lbs and biggest steelhead 11. A lot more bait out there than last week when I checked it out. I’ll be headed out deep again this week to really work it over. The offshore bite is about to be on fire. Spot on with your statement in lack of reporting. I post 1/10 of what I used to because of the lack of sharing and conversation lately on LOU. Hopefully that changes Good luck out there Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. I switched my riggers to 40lb with 50’ of light leader, big help. Dipsy you just have to fight through. I also run torpedo rigs with 50lb and light leader, they stay the cleanest. Just bring a swear bucket and you’ll go back rich[emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Just starting to slow alittle. 2 weeks away is along time and I’m sure guys will have them dialed in for you. One port up we’ve been fishing morning 60-90 and sliding out 140-220 in the day. With all the warm weather here and coming I would think 200-300 and offshore will be good. Keep eyes out for reports or drop me message Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. We competed the offshore classic Saturday and the event and fishing were perfect. Friday after work I pre fished solo by Sandy Creek. Hopes was if I could find good temp and Majors that’s where I’ll fish. I knew most boats wouldn’t make that long of a run , leaving us to much less hassle with boat traffic. I dropped in 60 fow and bait and hooks were there. I fished it 1 hr but midday and high sun it wasn’t happening. So I pointed north and in 140fow I took my first fish , nice 12lb king. I kept in the north troll and in 200fow the temp break was fast and my diver took off screaming. Boated a nice 20lb and by now I was in 240fow. Spun right around and once I hit that 200 mark all hell broke loose. Both divers took off one with a major the other with a smaller fish. I grabbed the big guy and two riggers fired, another major on. After twenty min two over 20lb , steelhead, and small king hit the deck. So the game plan was set. Saturday morning we shot right back to that inside water and the fish were in the feed. We took allot of shots with a 21lb in the mix. At 9am the bite slowed and we headed to the 200 mark. With no delay the rods starting moving doing another pair over 20 and a light major at 17lb. We fished the area till 11 when the winds shifted and the bite slowed down. We had 3 over 20lb, 17l, and a 9lb to upgrade. We were sitting pretty and deciddd to shoot to Braddocks to grind out the last hrs. For 2 hrs we picked at em boating a handful never able to get our upgrade. In the end we finished 14th out of 47 boats. Truely an awesome experience to compete and a great charity benefited. 12. 14’ crestliner side console. This boat runs better than new. 30 hp 4 stroke Yamaha that runs like a Swiss watch . I’ve owned 3 yrs and first thing I did was have all carbs pulled , cleaned, and re synced. I put all new floors in one month ago and last week had McMillan marine put new impeller , change plugs oil, and lower end oil. I have a trolling bar with traxtech tracks that goes across the back . It also has a front bow trolling motor that comes with it. I’ve fished 5’ water for Browns to 13 miles out for steelhead. Raymarine chirp fishfinder. Text with questions. 14. When I took my in the the shop said it will be free. Canon has lifetime warranty in body. Might be quicker to fix yourself but it’ll probably be free to send it in Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. South Bay boat and tackle (irondiquoit bay) is a certified Canon repair place. I dropped one off last week. If they can’t fix it there they’ll send it to canon. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  18. 140-180 out of braddocks yesterday. Meat rigs and flashers fly were the ticket. Riggers were 90-120 and dipsy 275-300. We had 47 degrees on bottom Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. Fished the tourney today with a good friend. So two guys we put out a 6 rod spread and set up in 90fow. Within 20 min we took our first shot and it never stopped. We took 40 bites putting 30 in the boat. 99% kings in 8-12lb range. Our spread was 2 dipsy out 280-300 with meat, 2 riggers 100-120 with meat, 1 rigger 80-90 with spoon , and a torpedo rig pulling a FF down the chute. We fished pump house to the nose in 120-180 the entire time . Our final box was 39 lbs. We lost 3 majors throughout the day that was the shot in the pants. With 2 hrs left we were going to run for Lakers when a 16 lb laker came in the boat. We had a 16lb 14lb and 9lb in the boat with an hr and a half left. With 5 kings in the boat we had one more shot for a major. We boated 3 more kings 13-14 lbs but chose to throw them back. Choice was settle for extra 3-4lbs and box out or keep going for the major. The major never happened and that was a wrap. Amazing day on the water and can’t wait for the next tourney Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  22. I fish between 44-52 degrees and then zone in once something works. If you don’t have down temp and speed get it. Other thing is try to get in a boat with a good guy or take a charter. The variables to being consistent are endless. Speed, temp, leader lengths, distance of the ball, copper backed or silver, and on and on. That’s what makes it fun though, trial and error Also get a good laker game. There always biting and there’s usually kings above them. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  23. Alittle late but the offshore bite has really been picking up and will only get better. As for kings I’ve been doing really good 150-300. Typically if I’m not sure where to start for kings I’ll go to 300 and work in. Temp is everything do getting that from other guys in the area is key. I’ve had a lot of awesome days on blank screens and simply fishing a temp Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. I only fish coppers for tournaments. I fish mostly with my kids and a mono junkline with a torpedo is waaaay more comfortable, more forgiving, and gets the depth you need. I run 50’ lead then clip weight. If my dipsy are out 250-300,then I send my chute setup further back. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  25. I run 2 riggers 2 dipsy 2 off planer mast and always a torpedo rig up chute. I just put all new floors in the boat and going to sell It. Bought new boat last yr and holding on to this only because I love fishing it, but it’s time to go. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
