  2. Definitely introduce yourself. This was a great event and well worth the travel. Next yr my ladies are already picking out the bed and breakfast to stay at before the tournament. Going to make a couple day adventure out of it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. I fished the Reelin for a Cure charity tournament Saturday. What an amazing atmosphere to be apart of . This was out of Olcott , a place I’ve never fished. Andrew Dissette went out before the tourney to help get a game plan for my team , seeing how we were unable to pre fish. My team consisted of my mom, my niece and my best friend (who passed last yr) mother. Well they had a combined total of Zero hrs on the big lake this yr but they were determined to raise money and some great memories. We set up east of port in 150fow on a North troll and immediately the rods started popping. The bites were steady but the class was a small (6-8lbs). The wind was stiff , waves kept building, and the rain was falling . One by one the women started feeling sick yet they kept fishing and quitting was never mentioned. We bailed on holding depth and really focused on keeping the boat as steady as possible. We went 1-3 on majors and boated a dozen of lighter of fish. Out of roughly 100 kings weighed in my ladies had the 3rd largest king at 22.46lb. They finished I believe 9th out of 21 teams. Most importantly they raised an additional $675 on our teams behalf to be donated to the benefactor. This was truly an amazing event and we can’t wait to be apart of this next yr. #makeadifferencegetinvolved Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. The winning boxes fished in tighter this morning 80-150 took the biggest boxes but not necessarily the biggest quantity. I literally fished in front of the Nose all day. You can’t go wrong with any choices. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Fished the Bald Eagle Series with my boys today. Beautiful day on the water and the fish were nipping. We ended in 6th out of 17 teams and our 3 fish box averaged a little over 19lb average. We fished 150-250 from 6-10am boating a lot of fish including our entire box. We then threw the hail marry and went offshore. We boated more from 490-550fow with a couple more majors just not one big enough to upgrade. Meat was our best. ITO Overkill Special slasher pulling ATOMMIK Lot Lizzard grabbed two of the big guys and a 11” paddle pulling a Minion meat rig grabbed the other. 25 bites total Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. My 2015 with a 200 cruises at 35 and tops around 43 geared and couple guys aboard. To me the max hp is mainly for the hole shot when insanely loaded down. I can troll down to 2.0 most of the time. Not sure the prop o got, factory aluminum 4 blade Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  10. Epic day today with my daughter and Brother doing personal bests. Fished east of Bald Eagle in 120-160 for early morning hrs. Then slid out and fished N/S from 250-350 ramiander of morning. 12. Start shallow in 80ish and slowly work out if needed. Been steady action under 200fow Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Sometimes less is better on your riggers. Having 8 rods on the riggers seems way to cluttered to get finicky fish to commit. 2 riggers 2 dipsy 2 long lines on boards. Scrap the coppers until you get the hang of things and use torpedo drop weights. Way more forgiving and cheaper if you tangle. I fish a ton and 6 rods is plenty to keep track of unless you got a great side kick helping keep everything in check. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Nice report, thanks for sharing. I’ve been fishing offshore Bald Eagle with good results. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. Took advantage of the calm lake and ran to where I left off yesterday. Dropped in 550fow and it was game on immediately. Great mix of majors and teen kings. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. Sandy Creek Shootout recap. Really could of used a prefish but life was too busy for this one. We dropped in at 200fow slowly slid out. We struggled getting bit immediately and the current was strong. We dealt with a 5 rod spread and slowly picked until 930. With a weak box getting built we decided to pack up and head out. We re set up in the shipping lanes and immediately got cracked. We stayed in 550fow and the bite was constant with a decent class of fish. We ended with a 17lb average for the 4 fish putting us right in the middle of the pack. More than the fishing I got to see good friends and shake hands with the guys that dedicate their lives to the fishery (Richard Hajecki, Larry Hammond) . I also got to be schooled by some of my mentors, congrats to Brian Gambell , Lou Borrelli and Shawn Considine for some serious boxes. New friends being made , rods getting smashed, Steelies going airborn, and being schooled by my mentors. That’s a solid day Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. I fished in front of Genny last night and it was insane. 50 yard visibility. 600 fow was 60 on surface and 10fow was 47 on surface. It slowly warmed up the whole ride offshore. Even in 600 fow down 30 feet was 50 degrees Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
