  1. Yeah, we fished Watkins area Mon night and Tue. Glenora area Tue. Fishing south end was slow in the eve. Not a lot of fish in the usual spots. Gonna start moving North next couple days. Glad you had a good day with your clients. Thats away good for business! Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Thanks for the report. Evening trolls haven't been very productive last couple nights. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. By blanks do you mean without hook, split ring etc? I have blanks. Pm me what your looking for and i will get back to you with what I have to offer. Jason Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. I wasn't trying to suggest we might have whirling disease, I had a laker on keuka with a deformed spine. The rainbow yesterday just reminded me of the disease and I wonder if anyone else remembered it. The hatchery theory seems logical. Joe, we were testing our new kicker motor, and a couple other things. Our speed control was lousy, so im switching to a kicker for fishing. Ran like a top and has excellent speed control. Even works with my auto pilot. I like it! Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. Last night I fished Seneca with my girlfriend. We had one rainbow that had a deformed spine. Does anyone remember the days when rainbows had whirling disease? Has anyone else seen rainbows with deformed spines? This is the first one I have seen in years. I don't know if this fish had whirling disease, but it looked like what I remember as whirling disease. Just wondered if anyone else has seen this. Jason
  6. Walt, you and June did pretty good. I'd be pleased with that. You had some nice fish today, and have been pretty consistently in good fish. Nothing to be ashamed about that my friend. Keep up the good work, and nice catch today. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. fishing today was good. Lots of action today, and FLTA had a pretty impressive weigh in. Joe matwejoe weighed in 29 plus pound one man limit today. Thats pretty impressive! Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. We don't need most of our state ramps? No more boats on the lake? Seriously? Where have you been lately? When was the last time you fished? Cayuga was pretty busy today from tremain to miliken, and then to long point. And that was all before noon. Then come the jet skis and sail boats. Your on another planet. 9. Our state launches are top notch, and I agree we are a state in poor standing, but our natural resources are second to none when you consider all we have available. No one gets everything right, but our DEC is on the job, and they are doing us right. Don't be so damn cheap! The Times, they are a changing. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. I don't know what to say, but you couldn't be more wrong! Ray. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Yes, pay the money. We use the facilities, I'd even pay to get my trailer cleaned. If I can roll down the road "invasive free" and it cost me say 150 a year to get unlimited washing, im in! sign me up. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Better luck on Cayuga I hope! See you Sun Joe. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  14. Ditto, 7.3 turbo diesel pulls effortless. ( 21 ft Chris Craft Scorpion, tandem axle) 4.09 a gallon and about 18 mpg. All the gas engines iv'e towed with averaged about 10 mpg towing. Not that I am recommending it, but off road diesel seems to have more power than highway diesel, and .60 - .70 cents a gallon cheaper. (mine is used for agriculture and farm use as well) Iv'e pulled hay wagons with 200 bales at about 45 lbs each (10,000 including wagon) with no problem. That's a good tow vehicle. I would give a diesel a try. Many well used out there at the range your dealing with, and 150,000 is just broke in for a diesel.
  15. Justin, Just curious, but how much would a rod setup like that cost. I've been thinking about having one built and i'm curious what yours cost. It's a pretty nice setup. Jason
  16. For those interested in using "slow" flutter spoons, like Suttons, Great Lakes Lure co. still produces 44's, 35's, West River, etc. and many other popular sizes. They are stamped from .015 stainless steel (430 grade), Hand polished to a mirror shine and come with either single or treble hook. For more info, or an apt to view our products, pm me and I will follow up with you. As for the info provided in this post, like Joe said, I couldn't argue with anything said here. All good info. As far as Sean offering to help you out by vhf or the cell # on his website, Priceless! Just goes to show what a great bunch of Professionals are on this site! You couldn't ask for better people here.
  17. Awesome! What more could you ask for in life! Great video. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. 500 is definitely a steal for the unit. Like motoman said, (and I've fished on his boat) its kinda the nature of the beast. Once your familiar with it, you know what to expect. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. What if there is more than one limit on the boat. We all have licences and equally responsible for that ticket. Again, who ever reeled this fish in, and kept it. They get that ticket. And the fish. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. I agree, thats really awesome. Again, thanks for sharing. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Its an older version. Flipping the lever sets your course. It holds a compass course, so waves and wind will cause it trouble in a slow speed too. It is what is intended for. I like it, but its not top shelf, nor reliable at 2.5 in the wind. Sent from my C771 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. 20 hp over 120, or more? I think 20 hp would be ok. More speed control is the end result. thats all, fuel economy too, but speed control is the most important.
