  1. Thank you I was just curious to see what all the fuss was about thanks gambler!
  2. Thank you I'll have to call Penn as I'm around 3 hours away from buffalo
  3. I'll measure one of my size 6s in the morning when I get outta work thanks!
  4. Gambler micro rigs Does anyone know what size spin n glow the micros rigs have? They make spin n glows in pretty small sizes and I know they can't be the smallest ones. Size 6 or 8 maybe? Thanks in advance

  6. There's a sweet spot because you want to be able to load up your rod without popping the release I still mess up and have to re deploy rigger once a trip but it's better than dragging a small around for hours not knowing about it!
  7. I love my Scotty pinch pads I almost traded them for blacks but so glad I didn't because of the long leader you can see when you've got a shakers on easy and once I had them broken in they released on most fish once you learn how deep to place the line depending on running spoons or flashers
  8. Thank you but I made a mistake it's the Penn 320 gti I need the knob for not the 209
  9. Stoneam were you by any chance having this problem while going cross wind? If so this is referred to as "crabbing" it happens during stonger wind days especially at slower speeds but it is best to avoid it if possibly in my opinion most strikers occur while gear is running true and proper. I personally try to point my bow correctly in to oncoming waves or go with the waves. You could also be facing an underwater current as you mentioned one way to combat that slightly is by running torpedo or shark shaped rigger weights as they tend to be a little more aerodynamic than a traditional "ball" troutman (harvey o'hara)on this sight makes great torpedo weights and bikinibottom (Rich matwiejow) also on this sight makes very nice shark weights
  10. Iso cast control knobs Penn 320 gti reel In search of cast control knobs for Penn 320 gti reels. Didn't check tightness on one I had and it went in the water last weekend. Searching for something around the Ithaca or elmira area
  11. I'm a little more daring haha my Scotty hand cranks don't really have a drag system at least nothing I've figured out yet I just pick flats that I have learned over time from when I used to run Seth green rigs that seem to be softer bottoms and go for it if I had a drag system I would definitely use it though. Biggest thing with bottom dragging these is watch your rod tip you'll notice it bounce up and down as it drags bottom. If it starts shaking in A weird pattern it won't hurt to check the rod. We get alot of smalls doing this so you wanna make sure your not wasting your time dragging around small fish
  12. Sometimes weekends it's hard to park a boat trailer. And not to mention allot of people target this lake with Car top boats. If you think it's bad now wait a week or 2 when it's full of guys fishing because bass season will be open plus pleasure boaters
  13. If your gonna do it that would be a great lake for Lakers. We just had a tourney over there we placed 5th in with 3 Lakers weighing a little over 23lbs so you figure almost an 8lb average. We released many as well. Landed over 16fish and we lost more than I care to say as well you can literally fish the entire lake in less than a day. You could find your best area and then fish it your next few days there. I would book quick for that campground if you were serious though July 4th is a tough time to get a camp at any state park and that one can be popular. Good luck though and tight lines. If you manage to camp there let me know. I would be willing to get together and fish or just have a cold one and introduce myself!
  14. We run anywhere from 1.5 to 2.4 with em depending on the day most of the time we fish em 1.6- 2.2. If your going to drag then its best to do it in an area where you know the depth stays consistent it's no fun running rigger balls into a ledge
  15. It has walleye as well here are all the species. Search pics of the park too you'd be impressed at it's beauty
  16. Anything you wanna do all game fish species but it's an amazing lake trout and rainbow lake! We are talking alot allot of 8lb range fish with many bigger taken often
  17. If your not afraid to tow your bout to the lake each morning and plan to fish Cayuga a few days already look into filmore Glen state park in Moravia. Heard it's a beautiful place to camp and your only like 5 minutes away from the south end of Owasco there and 20min to a half hour from Myers park on Cayuga. If it's gonna be windy fish Owasco cuz it's small and if you get board of it (you wont) Cayuga is right over the hill
  18. We like to put the spin n glows 24- 36inches behind the bells and put them 20ft behind or rigger balls and drag out balls right across the bottom
  19. Can't go wrong with camping at taughannok state park as long as your boat can make it under bridge even though you said you wanted to try other waters. Another option would be branchport state park on keuka or try to find a camp on Owasco even
  20. I agree as well. We have yet to target Lakers over there this year. Honestly have been kind of trying to stay of of them but we lost a fish that was 14 easy at back of boat a few weeks ago do to poor netting and have lost a few fish that fought like Lakers id have liked to get a look at. It sounds good and promising but if we get a goby die off do to vhs I bet those Lakers won't continue to be pushing such large sizes that they have been
  21. Was just wondering cuz it must've been a cold swim
  22. What's that surface temp at nick?
