You can tie a uni to uni knot for the leadcore instead of the willis knot. I tie in a small spro swivel in between the leadcore and the backing and leader that way I dont have to mess with the leadcore knot again when I retie a leader.

I have 10 different leadcore rods all spooled with tufline micro lead 18 lb. I have been using it for walleye on erie for 4 years now with no issues. I went with the microlead so that I can fit 10 colors on a 30 size reel with plenty of backing for walleye. Sent from my LM-G820 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I have chamberlains and love them. That being said last year I had the wire that runs through the Chamberlain break and lost a new 16 pound shark weight. Luckily it was on the rigger that did not have my probe on it. I have been using them for 4 years now and that is the only issue I have had with them. I have since cut the wire that runs through the Chamberlain and now run the downtigger cable though the release and then to a Cannon terminator. I have a Scotty rubber stop above the chamberlain to keep it from riding up the downrigger cable. Last year I bought snubbers for my cannon 10 Stx riggers and wish I had bought them sooner. They really help with the sudden stop and bounce of the balls when its wavy. Sent from my LM-G820 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I have used two of the different connections shown on their website on both of my rods with great results. I used a small spro swivel on both connections and attach the braid backing or mono leader to the other side of the spro. Both have held up two years now. What was the difference between advertised depth vs what you found out with the fishhawk TD? I was thinking of trying them out but am afraid they dont dive nearly as deep as my walker deeper divers, which I'm fairly confident in the depth they are running.
