  6. Day off and decided to give the perch a break today. I have zero ready for winter trolling, about a week behind with that, so I grabbed some jigs that I recently tied up and to casting the shoreline Dad and I went. Wind was on the calmer side to start and we were able to use the preferred set up with 4lb test and 1/8oz jigs. Had to bump up to 6lb and 3/8oz as the morning progressed and SE winds pickup up pushing us along. The salmon were definitely schooled up and only in certain areas, when we caught 1 another 1-2 were sure to follow. One brown, the rest were salmon, zero lakers. The grill is heating up for the few we kept. Tomorrow will be spent prepping planer boarding rods and gear. Fun day but Sunday we troll!

  12. Have 4 to sell. Three of them work as they should in good working condition. I lost the screw/angle adjustment on one of them and use a cotter pin to hold in place wrapped with a rubber band. Worked fine like that for two years. The two on the right ends have been re-wrapped with electric tape, caps fell off and took a swim. $90+shipping takes all 4. 15. Out of fairhaven yesterday was targeting browns, got my Dad out for the 1st time in a month and a half. Kept riggers high 8-15 down over 10 fow out to 30 fow. ran sticks off the big boards. Ended up 10/14. 1 steelhead, 1 laker, 1 king, rest were browns. Much slower than is has been over the past month.
  16. Shoved off at 5:55, motored a couple miles, dropped the big boards in and had 9 lines set by 6:45. It took almost 45 minutes till the 1st hit, then another 20 till it was game on, steady pick, for the next 2 hours. From 10-noon only 3 hits. Packed it in at noon. Couple doubles. It did not matter what was out, sticks=green, red, gold, brown(goby), black, sliver, blue....etc. all had equal action. Spoons on the riggers were bayrat green goby with copper back and goby with orange back. Stayed in 10-25 fow as we followed the edge of that off colored water. Set riggers back 50 down 6-10. Went 13/18 for the day. 2 salmon, rest were browns. After losing a couple kings over the last few weekends, my better half got her 1st king of the year. 20. Went 11/13 today, finally boated 1st king of the year for us, 15.4lbs, after losing one last Sunday and losing another first thing this am. Biggest brown was 10.3lb. Like the past few weekends Bay Rat goby, sticks and spoons were HOT! Ain’t nothing like hooking a king on top in skinny water with lighter tackle. 21. Shoved off at 6:15 trolled south, with my favorite mix of sticks and spoons, riggers/ boards, from a mile north of girl scout camp to south end, turned east heading across, back up the north side to about bolton point area. Doubled back in a few spots where we picked up fish. Packed it in at 10:45, ended up 7/9 total,5 salmon were all undersized, 1 laker 22 in, 1 smallie 19 in. Only picture worth taking was of my truck, all alone when we got in. My buddy who launched next to me this am was gone, he had to get to work. You didn’t miss much Andy. Anyone else do anything worthwhile today? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
