  1. Triple surgeons knot for me but the uni knot works just as good YouTube is a a good spot to learn em if you don’t know how to tie them Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. When I go down to the Carolinas and fish off the surf I use the fish finder rig. Basically a 2-3oz pyramid sinker on a slide attached to your main line then a leader with a circle hook. Use live bait and when you cast you free spool it so the baitfish can swim around and find the fish for ya. I’ve never fished the ocean that far north but would imagine it would work fine. I tie a 24-36” 50lb mono leader and use 5/0-6/0 circle hooks. And the sinker slides you should be able to pick up at a bait shop. Trick is to get the rig out past the break of the waves and hang on hope this will do some good for ya and good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  4. Yeah the ones I have came from ebay. I believe they are hand poured but the hooks are pretty thick. I’m actually from Cortland and would be happy to purchase a few. Will be on vacation for the next week and a half but will shoot you a pm when I get back. Thanks again! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. Looking to get into the art of laker jigging. I got myself some 3/4 and 1oz jig heads but they have 4/0 and 5/0 hooks seems a little big to me. So main thing are they too big? 6. A good starting point is the Boy Scout camp on the east side of lake it’s just north of the yellow cottage with the giant red rooster on their porch(you can’t miss it) that time of the year fish can be found throughout the column anywhere from 70ft out to 140. I’ve always found a variety of Lakers browns and rainbows in that area. Hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  21. While I don't have any of the three motors my uncle runs a 2017 evinrude etec 90 Hp and that thing is sweet. Its super quiet, fast, starts up on first key turn. To date he has had zero issues with it and he loves it. Went from a merc 4 stroke back to the 2 stroke and said best decision hes ever made. Again Idk much about them but I do know I couldn't believe how quiet and quick it was. Sent from my LGL52VL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
