Fishin's changin', so is my boat. Any help with my Off Shore Side Planers would be appreciated.

Fishing Lake Michigan and tributaries mostly since I was a kid. Sure miss the smelt runs in the spring. We bought a new Lund Alaskan with a 50 hp 4-stroke EFI Merc a few years ago after I had my hip replaced, but have less than 20 hours on it. Still maintaining it like it was one my kids, though, but since we moved to the Oconto River/Bay of Green Bay, my wife wants a PONTOON BOAT! Well, maybe if we sell the Lund and get her pontoon boat, we'll get out more often and I can get my Off Shore Side Planers to work. Lost the directions and by looking at some YouTubers' posts, I think I'm missing a spring? Any help for me?

You’re talking about the “tattle flag” system. It’s an add on to the boards. They run fine like you have them, just a stationary flag. You have to watch the board itself to be pulled back or for erratic movements when a fish is on.
