How rare is this? (Blonde Raccoon)

A couple of weeks ago, around 8 pm, I heard a noise in my garage, and when I opened the door, I was greeted by a blonde raccoon with its paws on the door!

He then proceeded to dive into the trash can (great shot of its ringed tail.)

It then turned around and appeared to be quite tame. It knew how to use the animal entrance in the garage door!

I saw it a couple of days earlier, down the road a ways, but only got a brief look as it darted into the woods, and wasn't sure it was really blonde. I haven't seen it since.

Has anyone else seen one?
