We have been fishing out of Port Darlington for lthe last 5 seasons, but this year (last week-end) we were there and we are very disapointed with the condition the place is in. The docks are falling apart, the place stinks, the washrooms are dirty and the motels would need renovations. We were told that Cobourg was a nice place to go and actuallly a little closer for poeple coming from Montreal. Lodging at a nearby King Edward Inn seems to be very nice and the Marina looks very nice also, my question is how is the fishing compared to Port Darlington, does anyone fish from there on a regular basis?

  • 2 weeks later...

there is a GREAT fishing spot just before Coburg of the shore of Brighton called the Scotch Bonnet.

it is 11 miles out with a shole running about 20 miles to US side.

170 feet of water comes up to 60..always mark fish there.

lots of Salmon and Browns.

Look for the OV1 tournament winnning boat.....I'll be the guy cranking one in.

Check out Prince Edward County for a place to stay....1 hour closer than Coburg and the same distance to the bonnet

from the launch in Wellington.

(Rays Cottages is a good spot)

happy fishing

Just Dickered
