Hi everyone -

The B. Thomas Golisano Hope Lodge Hospitality House/American Cancer Society's 'FISHING FOR HOPE' BASS FISHING TOURNAMENT will be held at the Irondequoit Bay Marine Park on Saturday, July 23rd. The fishing hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The award ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m.

The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge and Hospitality House is the first of its kind in the nation, providing temporary lodging for cancer, transplant, and trauma patients and their caregivers. We are located at 1120 South Goodman Street, Rochester, NY 14620. By joining our event, you can make a difference in the lives of our guests (present & future) at the Hope Lodge.

Entry fees: $30.00 adult & $5.00 youth under 16.

Payout: Based on entries 1st and 2nd place adult & 1st and 2nd place youth

Rules: We want this to be a fun, family event

-Winner will be determined by three heaviest bass

-All fish must be legally caught according to NYS laws

-Everyone in boat must be entered into tournament

-No sharing of fish. All three must be caught by the same angler

-In case of weight tie, the earliest entry will be awarded the prize

-While we encourage the use of livewells to keep fish healthy, we realize that not everyone has access to one. Therefore, there will be no penalty for dead or unreleasable fish.

The derby tent will be directly across the street from the launch.
