What chips to use w/ Lowrance HDS units

Hey guys/gals,

 

I'm looking for input on what Navionics chips folks are using if they own a Lowrance HDS unit. Mine came with the Insight Map but I'd like to upgrade to a Navionics card. I'm looking at the Hotmaps vs. the Platinum + card #648. I'm not sure if the Hotmaps Card made for the "Eastern US" supports Lake Ontario.

We have been using the navionics 901+ platinum card. East great lakes. Covers lakes ontario, Erie and Huron.

Was also using the Great Lakes fish n chip card until it went missing last year. The new 901+ apparently includes the fish n chip detail on another layer. Have not been able to fire it up on plotter yet so we will see.
