Planer mast

My base plate for my planner mast is mounted on the front of my boat. The neck of it broke last summer almost lost the whole thing in the lake. My question is should I try to buy a new one that might work or try and have this one welded.

My mast broke off the base plate a few years ago. I had it welded &  it has been good, no problem. Get a pro. welder.

Thank you. I will have to get on that soon seeing how my days are numbered till the Spring LOC and I want to run my boards.
