HDS-12

Thinking about purchasing the HDS-12.I fish a lot on Lake Erie's western end Huron to Lorain area. Probably the best unit for here. I fish Ontario once a year just wondering how that unit works in the deep water in Lake Ontario. Does the 50/200 (50) track the DR balls and how deep. Any information is appreciated. We fish out of Point Breeze.  Thanks Mike

I have the HDS 12 with a 83/200 ducer which marks the balls pretty good in 200 but 83 is excellent. I did have the 50 but didn't like the images I was getting on the screen. With this unit I went the extra mile and bought the chirp ducer with the sonar hub and that is the cats meow and well worth the money.
