Brine meat strips before or after?

Hey, do you guys ever brine strips beforehand or just keep them frozen and use as packaged? And do you bother to brine after opening a package or do they hold up ok if refrozen?

Thanks everything I search refers to whole herring not strips.

Thaw out the Haring strips and put them in Fire Brine in the fridge color of choice. I have had good luck with that.
