  1. Not sure if you're just bragging, or you forgot to put the report with the pictures? Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. My team will be fishing this event. We are not fans of adding Lake Trout to the main event box. The reasoning used above "to take pressure off the Salmon" blows my mind. In an ecosystem that is struggling to generate big fish with enough science pointing to a week biomass of adult alewife I'd think the right thing to do would be too get mature Salmon out of the system to try and bring it back. These stocking cuts are doing nothing today to help our situation. Increasing harvest rates on Salmon and Lake Trout is the only thing that can help us right away. 3. I apologize. I am having issues with LOU. For whatever reason I don't get notified when someone responds to my post, or when I get a PM. I finally broke down and reached out to Chad yesterday to see if he can help. If we can figure something out let me know.
  4. When can you meet? I'll be out of town Thursday-Monday coming up. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. That's what we've used. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. I have used those and they work great. Little tough for customers I think. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. The Genny is your best bet. I-Bay iced over at the North end. A little wind and it could open up easily. There is a launch by the coast guard station in Sodus. That's generally open.
  8. I recorded one this weekend at the Niagara Show. When I know where they are posted I'll get back to ya.
  9. I was. What were you interested in?
  10. I generally use spoons, but a buddy runs Bay Rat short shallows behind them and does well.
  11. No, but I do recommend a ML action rod. I've run 8' and 9' ML rods. Both work fine.
  12. Typically, I run it on 30 lb braid. On this particular day I ran it on a rod that had 15 lb monofilament. One thing you want to make sure of is that you have a medium light action rod. Eight and a half to nine foot seems to be best. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Sk8man is correct. They offer less resistance and seem to dive better. I brought them on a buddy's boat and ran it on one side vs his regular diver on his side. He couldn't compete. Could it have been the day? Sure, but others have seen the same results. I've also noticed when running the larger versions on wire they create a vibration in the tip. I'd like to mention this side in the video was where my kicker was running. What's even more impressive is that the side exhaust on my Trojan doesn't even scare these fish. My diver is more or less right in that loud exhaust. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. https://chinookdiver.com/shop?olsPage=products For this technique we like size 2, but I know guys running size 1.
  15. Who would have thought that 8-12' divers could save the day while Spring Brown Trout fishing in skinny water? For years it was all about "stealth" when fishing these fish. Well, here's the proof that these divers work. This is a technique that was started by a couple of Rochester captains, and since then it's been tested all over the South shore of Lake Ontario. If you don't have these in the water you're missing bites. Bites that come from right under your boat! We like the #2 size Chinook Diver with about a 6' 15lb leader off the back of the diver. We set the diver to the setting that brings it away from the boat. On that setting you can match the line out on your counter to the depth of water you're in. In 10' of water let the diver out 10'.
  16. Nice job, we fished that water Monday.
  17. 4/5 years old. I pulled it out of a boat I bought from a buddy to upgrade to a bigger one. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  19. Not one of my reasons mentioned was to increase natural reproduction opportunities. It was to protect the species designated for the Lake guys, and also help out the trib guys come the Trout run. I LOVE how everyone's concern is for one small town, that turns a blind eye to unethical fishing practices mind you, but no one cares for the hundreds of charter boats on the lake. Nor the multiple small towns that house them along the whole South shore. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Lake Ontario United mobile app
