We put in a tad before 6am fished till 1ish had one brown earlier just over 5# and then boated one just shy of 6# so we pulled up and went to weight in what we had. We did a grand slam , put the landlocks and rainbow back they were around 16" and one sub-legal brown back in.........when we went to weight the 3 browns we had in the box all made the board but dout any will stay from 3ish to largest at 5.77.........good luck everyone most of all HAVE FUN................

Fished from 8ish till 3ish boated 4 lakers and a brown.......lakers were OK 1 at 6.75# and 1 @ 7.5# ................ Good luck in the am everyone..............

Fished from 1ist to 5:30 pm or so went 5 for 6.........nothing big 3 lakers, a rainbow and small brown...........

Well NOW what do ya exspect out of a Ole dude like me...............

I stopped in on the way back up to camp and to pick up my Derby Ticket..............they gave me directions back to town because they are NOT selling them this year.............that cost them a few more $$$$ because I alway buy something while I'm in there.........Oh well !!!!!!!

Thanks guys , just the three of us on the boat King stayed on land with Carol.................two stories...........the first big brown I hooked up and Sammie took the rod worked it for a while and I saw or we all SAW a limb out of the water right by it and thought that was what she had on................so grandpa took the rod and pumped it in so as not to break the line..................next to the boat....WOW get the net !!!!!! no stick......................them later when we hooked into the big one she was VERY aggressive getting the rod out of my hands and in hers........ .......great fish it came in deep was on the center rigger and would cross over REEL close to getting into the other line...............it took all three of us to get it in the net...............Sammie on the rod.............her dad on the net.......grandpa on the wheel and throlle BARKING orders on what to do when I dropped the speed to idle and DON"T miss with the net !!!!!!!

Yes older units and don't have short stop. You mentioned setting the tension correctly. Sooooo do you mean if set correctly and you let them travel to the top the breaker would stop them? Dennis ......for about $85.00 in parts you could change the wiring so they work as short stops......I did two over the winter....but you still will want you cluch setup as stated above......

Seneca 5/19/2012 Well the birthday girl and her dad got here a bit after 7pm and the plan was when she got up we would got out for a birthday breakfast. Then pick up some steaks for dinner then go out and fish…………..she got up after 8 am and we didn’t get on the water till 11:15ish……………had a GREAT day after I tweaked the three rod spread a bit went 5 for 9. Lost two brown at the back of the boat and two rods with no one home. Boated 4 browns @ 3# , 5# , 7.5# , 8.5# and a 6â€sawbelly after little over 3 hours on the water and the fish getting bigger so we quit on the last one. Sammie and her Dad with the biggest brown...... Three generations enjoying what Seneca has to offer............

Seneca 5-18-2012 Things warmed up some so Hoot , King and I went down to do a little fishing. a guy had just come in and said nothing was going on out there and that he had done well at the north end of the lake and should have fished there today………….. We got the boat in the water and it started somewhat hard and when I turned the depth finder on I forgot about the update deal and that re-set all my setting so we sat out on the water for 10 or so minutes while I tried to put it back where I had it……………did get it all there but it worked GREAT mybe better than before not sure if it was the update or setting..... ..... We put a BIG three rod spread ( TAKE THAT NICK we were only short ten or so ) three riggers with 50’ leads and spoons all DW ss ……….10 minutes later we had a brown on…………big lull but then we had a steady pick …….one spoon was HOT so I dropped one more down like it………..changed the dead rigger out with two other spoons and depths and ended up with the biggest brown on that one……lost one after that and called it a day…….about 2.5 to 3 hours boated 5 browns , three lakers and lost a brown……….biggest brown was just shy of 6# and biggest laker 6.5 pounds. Oh….. Kinger was really good on the water today had a few word with him in the truck when he got on Hoot lap , but after he put us on the fish Hoot called him King instead of DUKE !!!!! Hoot with the tally..................
