  1. Let me know if RodHog hasn't helped you out. I think I might have a pair of regular 8#ers. I'll have to look around for them.
  2. Force was the old Chrysler brand. Then Merc took them over. Their technology is old and Merc dropped them before investing in bringing them up to date. Some folks loved them, and some folks hated them. I imagine if it was taken care of, it may be okay. Personally if I was buying it, I wouldn't put much value on the motor. Parts are getting scarce and it wouldn't be worth investing much money in repairs. Any repair more than a couple hundred, you should dump it and repower. Who knows though, that motor might last you 5 or 10 years. I think 25 to 30 MPH is about right.
  3. Heading up to Mexico Bay Thursday and need to pick up some tackle. Seems like 90% of the fish are taken on flashers and flies. Are there any spoons one should have on board also?
  4. I have the 778C myself, great unit!
  5. Never mind, i think I'll just drop it off in Gananoque Sat evening. Looks to be about 1.5 hour drive.
  6. I'm in need of a secure spot to park my boat on it's trailer for anywhere between 7 days, to 10 days. I have a trip planned to Ontario with my brother, next Thursday, the 9th, till Sunday. I have a friend with a cottage in Ganaoque Canada that has offered my wife and I a weeks vacation there. I'd like to leave my boat in the Pulaski area rather than towing it all the way back to S.E. PA. The plan would be to drop the boat off on Sunday, and pick it up on the way to Canada probably early the next week. Any fishermen have a spot by their barn, or can recommend a commercial business that would be able to handle the storage along the I-81 corridor? Thanks! Forgot to mention, it's a 19 foot Starcraft Superfisherman
  7. At a $1200 budget, you could still get separate units. $600 a piece should get you some pretty decent.
  8. Hey, I'm retired now and on SS , sometimes I forget how to tie my shoes! Thanks for the heads up on gear.
  9. This will be my first trip back in about 3 1/2 years, since I moved to S.E. PA. I have sold all my spoons, flashers and flies, so I need some help on what to pick up for my trip. There will be 2 of us, so we can run 4 rods. I've got a pair of Big Jon electrics, and some dipsys. So I'm looking for hints on flasher, fly combos, and spoons. The dipsys will be run off of braid, sold my wire outfits too. At present we are planning on camping at Selkirk Shores and fishing Mexico Bay, but leaving an option of camping at Fair Haven and fishing around there. We will be arriving on the 10th of Sept and fishing that afternoon and Sat and Sun. Is Frenchy still at Fat Nancy's? He was always a great help with what was hot and what was not. Would anybody like to recommend some baits, and if I should order ahead of time, or just pick up the stuff when I arrive. Hate to show up and all the hot baits are sold out. I'll be fishing out of a 19 foot Starcraft Superfisherman. Thanks!
  10. Love that custom fish hook in the first photo! Glad to see folks as cheap as me. LOL Looks like you had a fine day on the water, good catch!
  11. Nick, Wow joined the site yesterday just to advertise your boat, and now you are telling a moderator not to use your ad as a chat log? I think you owe the man an apology!
  12. Just a link, know nothing about the unit or the seller. http://walleye.outdoorsfirst.com/board/ ... =2&start=1

  15. I have a 1988 Yamaha 200 that lost a cylinder. The motor is complete at present with all components available including a SS prop. I'm asking $400 for the works, and if anybody has bought outboard parts, any one item could cost that or more. You've got the carbs, fuel pump, oil pump, oil tank and float sender, wiring harnesses, coil packs, alternator, starter, trim and tilt pump, lower unit, stainless prop etc. I have disassembled the motor into 3 section to make it easier to handle, powerhead, mid section and lower unit. I live in S.E. PA, but might be willing to bring it as far as Binghamton for gas money. Thanks, Ron PS I think most components will work between 86 and 94 years, possibly smaller HP V-6 also

  18. Hey Rusty, Can you tell me the width of the top where it attaches to the windshield? I've got a 21' Chris Craft walkaround and need a top. Does the frame and all come with it? Thanks, Ron
  19. Didn't Rustyrat just lose an Islander in a towing accident? Maybe you could contact him and find out what happened to the totaled boat.
