  1. The launch is open and the channel is unfroze, few Ice burgs That the crew boats are chopping up The road in is rough and the water is low.
  2. I got this from the LOSTA fish report , thought you guys might be interested I would like to take this opportunity to invite you and other members of the Lake Ontario Trout and Salmon Association to a rally that I am hosting this Saturday opposing the Governor's plan to close Wilson-Tuscarora State park. Joining me will be members of the Wilson Town Board, Village of Wilson Mayor Patrick Kelahan and the Village Trustees as well as members of two Parks advocacy groups: Parks and Trails New York and Audubon New York. The rally will take place this Saturday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m at the pavilion at the main entrance of Wilson-Tuscarora State Park. Please join us and feel free to pass this information along to anyone else you think might be interested. The more people in attendance, the louder the message to the Governor. Feel free to contact my office if you have any questions. 716-282-6062. I hope to see you Saturday! Sincerely, Francine DelMonte Member of Assembly
  3. We use them..... When the line is short on a fish near the net I think they help with that head shaking.
  4. You won't be happy if the main engine isn't on the centerline of the boat. It would be easier to trim the boat by moving things around inside to compinsate for the kicker. I don't think they weigh that much anyway.
  5. Next time you have a bleeder in the boat , wipe the blood on the lure. That will be the next rod to pop when set back out
  6. The little bit of mons between the copper and the backing is where you hook the board. Its easier to check for nicks and wear where the board clips on. Just cut out the bad spot and retie, hoping a king dosent hit while your are retieing
  7. They must be an invasive speice there, like Ray!!!!!
  8. Just wanted to send a big thanks to the guys at LOSTA for putting on a great weekend. Was fun meeting guys from the board and swapping stories. Was a great way to start off the new season. Thanks for all the hard work that you guys do!!!!!
  9. It should look like a corkscrew roll not a head tight spin. You bend the tab that the line to the hook goes through to change the roll. Sometimes I put the cut bait in a little crooked to help it.
  10. Hey Ray where is that Key located????
  11. More great pictures!!!! What did you do to tick off that heron? He has that I am going to get even look
  12. Salmon find their way back to the stream they were born in by sense of smell. Its susposed to be much greater than a deer. Think about all the things that you do each AM before getting into the boat. All the soaps , food , fuel , waste, etc. that you touch will leave a trace on your hands. I use it, put some on my hands before I touch anything in the back of the boat. Does it help? I think so, can't hurt. All those hunter guys hang their clothes outdoors all year to hide the smell. Maybe we should too
  13. Looks like your trolling rig is working out! That must be the new deflated $buck$ or is that a two bit piece Looks like your having a great time. Stay away from that triangle thing down there
  14. Those puppys have TEETH!!!!!! I brought the one I caught home and put it in the rain barrel. Came home from school to find it in three inch long pieces in the ref. My grandfather skinned it and cooked it up. I was hot
  15. Caught a 3' 50 years ago in Tioughnioga river in Cortland . It had to have come up from Cheseapeke bay. Fought like a son of a gun. Thought I had a big bullhead as we were fishing at night.
  16. We used to run about 60" from the cutbait head to the 11" flasher or a triflash. That was in Aug.
  17. Happy brithday!!!!!! And Thanks for all you do
  18. Ray your in our prayers. Hope your Mom has a speedy recovery!!!
