  14. That compartment drains into the bilge, I would personally not make it a fish box. We owned a 240 fisherman and I just used a cooler, or you can make the 2 compartments on the transom Into one long fish box, but that will take some glass work. You can also put a cooler on a platform off the back if you don’t like it inside. That floor hold is just what you said, glasses over plywood, and it is not glasses that well, IMHO. They are a great boat, but you will have to keep up on the maintenance, watch the transom, and the stringers by the motor mounts. Good luck. Capt Rich. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. I run Saitists on all of my rods except big coopers. The drags are the best, the retrieve is fast!!!! Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  18. https://bobsmachine.com/product/kicker-jac/ This is the unit I bought. He has a stationary mount on his tiara. I like the kicker jack because I have raise and lower the motor in the water for rough days, no cavitation. I can also change the oil on the water without any issues. I split my platform down the middle, so I have a platform on either side of the motor. Works great for doing maintenance and cleaning. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  19. I run a Yamaha T25 high thrust on Aquasport 290 express. I have it on a Kicker Jack, mounted to the transom. I have the factory controls to start and put it in gear, then I run a Controllking for my throttle control. My buddy has a 31 tiara he put the same engine and throttle control on. Both boats have no problems at all with that motor. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  23. As of right now temps are deep, but that change with the winds. So it would be copper lines, wire dipseys, since the fleas are just starting, and will only get worse. If you have a full core, you might be able to find a fish or two up higher in the water column, again this may change if the winds blow out of the south or NE. You can probably find browns in shallower, guessing 40-80’, again depending on down temps in the bay. Coolers in 300-600’ is where you will need to be, so I am not sure what lengths you have, or are going to look at buying. A 400-500’ copper can always be run down the chute and you can run it at whatever length you want. Good luck, keep watching the reports from the bay to see where the temps are. If you have a speed and temp unit, then you will be all set!! Capt Rich. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  24. Yes, wire with a dipsey, which you should use a twilli tip for, if you are not using a roller rod, are for deeper presentations. Leadcore will achieve a depth of approx 5’ per color, or 30’ length. Copper will achieve a depth of approx 22’ per 100’ of copper for standard 32lb copper, and the 45lb will go deeper. So depending on how deep you are looking to fish, will tell you which presentation you should be looking at. A little more info on where you will be fishing and when you are looking to fish will be very helpful on getting better info. Capt Rich. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  25. Leadcore and cooper do not need a wheel at the tip top. Wire rods can be run with roller tip. Copper and leadcore are not used for dipseys, steel wire, braid and mono are used for divers. Capt Rich Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
