  1. Had a great day on the water. Started above deans cove. Hit fish but they were small. Headed down lake and set up at my honey hole and it was on. Started in 120 and ended in 350. Everything was down 65 to 135. Ran my usual program ot spoons off my cannon riggers and pro trolls with big Weenies. Also ran a Spinney with a blue bw fly off the 500 copper and it took a beauty laker in the 12 lb range. The salmon are mixed in with the lakers or just above. Temp break is around 60 to 70 ft. Heard from captain Bill V this morning and my honey hole is choked with weeds. The fleas are a bad as it gets. I'm off for the next 2 weeks and fishing the oswego pro am so until I get back on Cayuga, good luck to all. Captain Scott [ Post made via Android ]
  2. At least Ray got the funny part of it. Thanks. I went with the 4200. Used it on my rub rail that has a tendency to slide when you touch the dock. Thanks for all the help guys. [ Post made via Android ]
  3. I have no problem with it. There might be something on the board that memebers might want. Price is always negotiable. RR [ Post made via Android ]
  4. 1000 bucks, I will separate, 500 each. Include a lawrance FF with the boat and gas can / hose with the motor. PM for details Thanks RR
  5. Can't do it this year. I have a previous commitment. Good luck to all. RR [ Post made via Android ]
  6. I have a t top and the aluminum poles that are attached to the top of the cuddy are screwed in. A few of the screws are loose and won't stay tight. I tried to put wood shavings and liquid nails in the holes but that did not help. Any suggestions to help with my loose screws is appreciated. I don't want to drill thru and bolt. 7. I have to pull the boat out next week and I want to clean the outdrive. What should I use? Thanks RR [ Post made via Android ]
  8. Mike last year we had fleas bad right up to my trip, Oct 25th! On Ontario they are gone by mid Aug. My 30 lb on Ontario works great but last year it did not work very well so I went to 50 lb and that did the trick. I'm just splicing in a piece with a relatively light leader so I don't loose the action of the light rods. Ya I saw an arima over by sheldrake running about 5 ot 6 in line boards. I thought it was you and was going to yell over to give you a hard time! Good thing I didn't! RR [ Post made via Android ]
  9. Oh and we are getting salmon about 1 for every 3 lakers and they are nice. Most coming off the riggers on my spoon set. Getting bows too but about 1 a trip. Bows are going around 3 to 4 lbs. [ Post made via Android ]
  10. Guys if you like the flea flicker go with it. I prefer to splice in 100 ft of 50lb and use a 10 ft flourocarbon leader in 15 lb using a double surgeons knot. No fleas that way and I can still use my light gear. Still though they are on the downrigger cables and on the wire. I hate those things with a passion. They stain the boat and 2 days later I can still smell the odor on my hands. Stinger were you running a ton of inline boards on sun? I thought I.saw you. RR [ Post made via Android ]
  11. Still fishing from sheldrake to past deans cove. Slow pick on sat but we ended up with a dozen. Same ole program 100 to 120 down 50 to 90 on the riggers and wires out 250 to 300. White or green paddles with big Weenies and R&R spoons in black and purple or green with a white cup. Sunday was better in the same area and they hit pretty much right up to the end of the trip. Fleas are bad now. Time to splice in the 50lb to deal with it. Last year they were so bad 30lb was worthless and I'm expecting it to be as bad this year. Hope to have the new raymarine electronics installed for the next trip. Good fishing to you! RR [ Post made via Android ]
  12. Did a 3 hour seminar from 4 to 7. Fished from sheldrake to deans cove 100 to 250 fow. Nice steady bite with lakers, salmon and bows. Wires out 280 and riggers anywhere from 40 to 80. Lime ice and nbk super slims were hot as were the blue Big Weenies fished of spin drs. Captain scott [ Post made via Android ]
  13. The fleas are still manageable with light line. Good fishing last might too! [ Post made via Android ]
  14. Yup same with me on sun. I have an afternoon trip today and I'll report back tonight. RR [ Post made via Android ]
  15. If it comes with a single, run it the way it comes. If you don't like spoons with a single, switch to a brand that comes with treble hooks. Most manufactures tune their spoons so switching hooks will change the effective running speed and u will catch less fish. RR [ Post made via Android ]
  16. Nice mike. Stop by when u get a chance. After fishing of course. [ Post made via Android ]
  17. Hermit.... I'm only 30 back and down 40 to 80 on my riggers so 150 is fine. I run a 10 ft leader. I let the wires and the by coppers do the deep work so fleas are not a problem. Its great to see u back! RR [ Post made via Android ]
  18. No drawbacks. Last year the fleas were so bad my 30 lb was worthless so I spliced in 150 ft of 50 lb and that worked. Expect the fleas to be terrible on Cayuga this season. Use a double surgeon knot to splice in the leader. RR [ Post made via Android ]
  19. Started out just south of Sheldrake and went with the waves to goose watch from 60 to 100 fow. Had a steady pick of bows, small salmon and lakers. Pretty rough out there but it was manageable. Same program with riggers down 45 to 60 and wires out 200. Black and purple spoons and blue big Weenies doing most of the damage. 200 copper fished down the chute took a few too. Small amount of fleas starting to show up and I figure they will be full blown in about a week so be prepared. Good fishing to all. Captain Scott [ Post made via Android ]
  20. We been out most weekends since the derby and the fishing is what I call a steady pick. The salmon are good sized so far but the laker size seems a bit on the short side. Mostly the lakers are in the 4 to 7 lb range. The salmon have been in the same weight range. Really no pattern to speak of except for black and purple and green and silver spoons. Fishing 20 to 60 down over 60 to 100 foot of water.I have been on a run and gun program as the fish move constantly. So no one spot is better than another. Basically a rigger bite for me with the occasional 5 to 7 color and wire 150 to 170 pulling big Weenies blue or white flies. The reports will be coming weekly now and the fishing should get better by the day as the lake sets up. Tight lines! Captain Scott [ Post made via Android ]
  21. According to my Brittany spanniel, the surface temp is 60 degrees. She won't go in until its 60 and tonight I.can't keep out of the drink. RR [ Post made via Android ]

  23. 1989 SeaRay Seville cuddy cabin. 4.3 V6 Mercuriser with Trailer. No gear was ever mounted to this boat. Runs good well maintained. Needs a bit of cosmetic work. Boat is clean and the seats and cushions are in great shape. Has cover but no Bimini. Well has a frame but the mice took care of the Bimini top for me this winter. 3500 bucks Pics to come this weekend. RR
  24. 16 ft Aluminum deep V open boat with a 9.9 Johnson, gas tank, hose, removable seats. Including a Lawrance FF not mounted. Prolly late 80's early 90's. Bought it 3 years ago and have never used it. Neighbor borrowed the motor and used it quite a bit and it runs excellent. 1000 bucks Pics to come over the weekend. Thanks RR
