  4. Drill a hole in each corner and seal it up so the water doesn't rot around the hole. Both my islanders did that. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  5. I am going to tough it out. I managed this season to get a keeper per person and a little more. I just hope it doesnt get worse. Also so far there are very few fish in the tribs. Like none! We have had excellent water too. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  8. Nice going guys. I feel Cayuga is about to collapse due to miss management by the DEC. One of my customer's landed a 4 lb laker with 8, yes 8 adult lampreys about 15 inches each today. Very disappointing 2 seasons on Cayuga. Its the worst fishing since I started in 1985! Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. I'm still running charters or I would come over in the winter boat. Have fun guys. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  13. As a charter captain on Cayuga and Ontario. You should take this up with the captain at the dock. Nuff said. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. I had a charter on sat and there was no one where I was fishing. Not that is a problem but just odd. Won't be long Alex! Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. I'm running the old silver glow and trash can Jensen dodgers. They worked just fine with a straight white, green, or blue flies this past weekend. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. I haven't caught a keeper silver fish since June. If I can put a dozen Lakers between 4 and 6 lbs it was a good trip. Although I did really well 2 weeks ago on Lakers 8 to 10. But that was the first trip this year where I had quality Lakers. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. The fishing has been challenging the last 2 years on Cayuga. I'm finding I have to run and gun if the area I'm fishing is slow. Congrats. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  18. I never pull anything period. Its up to the captain to keep the fish straight behind the boat at all times. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  19. Put it back unless you want to take a chance on a ticket. I get it though. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Don't just blame charter capts. Some rec guys are the same. That's why I don't fish out of Oswego/Mexico during the LOC. Too crazy for me. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Yea what I'm saying is I've used 7 strand on a stock tip and it lasted 2 years before I changed it out. I've been using 19 strand like lead core with no noticiable wear on the tip top. I can't help u with the butt section. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Replacing a tip top on a rod is cheap and easy. I used my diver rods for 2 years before I put twillies on em. Go for it. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. Water is fine. Fishing is what it has been all year. Mediocre. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Thanks king! Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. No harm to humans. Generally they don't hurt the fish unless infested. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
