1. Which ever way I'm going. I don't worry about it. I might throttle down but I don't change direction or pull rods. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

 4. I believe I paid 500 bucks for my survey. Worth every penny. If the surveyor finds some minor issues you can negotiate that from the price of the repairs towards the boat. When I received my survey, I told the owner to either fix and I will pay asking price or I will fix and take it off the asking price. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
 5. Har we have all done that. If you haven't, you are a fisherman (liar). Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

 8. My advice is to get it surveyed. Worth the money. Especially a thompson which are known to have stringer issues. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
 9. I use a panther remote kicker steering unit. Might be cheaper than changing to hydraulic. It works well. Mine has a wire but wireless units are available. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
 10. Mike I have an 840 probe and head unit. Make me an offer and I'll throw in the head unit. The probe worked fine last time I used it. Scott Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

 17. Yup. Not to mention I see far less lamprey scars on bows then browns, landlocked salmon and Lakers.
They admitted it.in the spring state of the.lake meeting last year. They also said they didn't treat due to lack of funds. I live on the lake, I run charters on the lake and I fish the tribs hard all fall. It's a huge problem. There are very few browns and salmon left and the Lakers size is off by over 30%.

Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

18. They told us last spring they did not treat due to lack of funds for 2 years. That's besides the flooding. I was at the meeting. Also there is a boat load of them in fall creek. I saw them spawning spring 2013.

Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

19. What you run for dipsy rods is.pretty much personal preference. I use the 10' 6" heartlands. I don't like the shorter rod because it's too close to my rigger booms. I like them out further.

Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

20. They.didn't treat for several years. Some due to no money and some due to high water.

Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

21. Use 50lb mono for leaders. Flouro doesn't have much stretch. Less break offs. Use flouro for the fly leaders.

Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app

22. They sien the alvens in the spring as they return to their growing rivers. They are born in the ocean and then return to their rivers to live and grow to adulthood.
The guys I met were getting 2 to 5 thousand a pound in the Japanese market. They are cut throat types and only a few licenses are granted. I believe the season lasts only a week or 2.
The Cayuga lampreys are killing our fishing. The DEC better get this problem solved. I don't want to hear anymore excuses.

Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Lake Ontario United mobile app
