  1. Do you really think the numbers or down or has the lake just changed dramatically? My opinion is that between the water clarity (zebra mussels) and the new forage base (Gobies) the habits of the bass have changed significantly... I see some of these huge SM that people are catching trolling for browns and believe that is an indication of the quality of fish in the lake.. I think the fish are living in deeper water and there is so much food around that it is tought to compete. I think the quality and size will conitue to improve, as fewer fish are caught and taken from the lake... I miss the days of going to hedges and Chimney Bluffs and having all the action you could ask for...

  12. I am looking to purchase a Spotting Scope and would like to get some input relative to getting the best for my $$... I don't/can't spend a ton of money, but at the same time, would like to get something decent... Any thoughts about specific brands or models would be appreciated.. Tom
  13. Thanks everyone... I definitely want to give Ringneck a try... Always looking for options and new experiences I have a camp in Nunda and wanted to try to get the information for the place in Dansville, for a good option while I am down there... Gambler, I actually took my dog to Pheasant Hollow for training this past summer... It was a great experience and would highly reccomend Lorraine.. My english springer, Cooper was just a year old in October... We hunted a 10 bird release his first time out and he put up 10 birds on a pretty windy day... Have had him out 3 additional times and would like to get him out one more time this year... It is so great to watch him work and see how excited he gets... This is the first hunting dog I have owned.. The only problem with Pheasant Hollow is that I live in hamlin, so it is a pretty good haul... There are a couple of guys that opened a place on County Line Road (F&B Gamebirds)... they are nice guys, have real nice birds and some good fields to hunt...
  14. Is anyone on the board familiarwith a preserveby the name of Pheasant Haven in the Dansville area? :?: Contact infowould be greatly appreciated.. :!: Tom
  15. Great Buck Ray!!! Great dedication to get such a nice buck so late in the season... Well done!!
  16. Check the events calendar on the Gander Mountian website... They often have seimnars on predator/coyote hunting.. I am in the same situation as you and not sure that there are a lot of peole actively hunting them, so it makes it hard to ge GOOD information... Here is a coyote that I shot this year on opening day of bow season... My camp is just outside Nunda and we hear them at night quite a bit..
