Just trying to clean up the basement a little bit... I have 1 red cap for a Big John rod holder I also have two Scotty Power Power Clips by themselves.. Can very easily make a functioning realease out of them with a small length of 30# wire, a couple of crimps and a snap... I have done it many times... PM if interested.. YT, Try online.. I have purchased it that way the past couple of years and it has worked out just fine for me... It takes about a week to get it, but if you are buying it now, it doesn's really matter...

Went online and bought my hunting liscense this evening... Got 2 doe permits for 8M.. I read somewhere where the number of permits is up 13% over last year... Let's just hope the heard is up as well.. A few mouse clicks and now my mind is locked on fall.... tom

I was looking to replace to old 35mm trail cams.. Looked around and read some reviews.. debated on regular flash or infared.. After mush research and talking to some folks decided to go with a fairly new product.. Scout Guard 550's... They are infared and do both photos and video.. They are very small (...see picture) and it makes it easy to put them on even the smallest of trees. Plus you can put them in your pocket if riding an ATV.. They are supposed to switch in and out of infared mode much better then some of the competing units... The attached picture was actually taken with one of the units... They are able to keep the size down because instead of doing all of the programming on the unit, it has a little remote (..looks like an iPod) that you plug in and set everything... it is really kind of slick and very easy to use... seem fairly reasonably priced at $199, which included shipping.. Being infared, a set of 8 AA batteries is supposed to be good for a few thousand pictures.. We will see... I put them up this morning and plan to check next weekend... I set one on camera mode and one on video mode...Will post some pics and updated review at that time..

I just received a couple of Scout Guard 550's from the UPS man this morning.. I plan to hang them this morning and will provide a review.. They are a new product, but have received rave reviews... I am replacing a couple of old 35mm caneras, so can wait to be able to see what is on them right away... It does become an addiction... A couple of years ago, I got a couple of pistures of a nice 10 point.. The pictures were spread across a couple of cameras, so had a good idea where he was traveling.. Well the evening of opening day of bow, guess who shows up? It is pretty cool...

I fished for a number of years in a 16' boat from the Oak to Sodus... You just need to be careful and when in doubt get off the water... make sure you have a good radio as well! Put a lot of fish in the boat... I always figured as long as you have the right gear and you presnet a good program, the fish don't know what kind of boat you are in... Also with a set of planner boards, some lead core, copper and wire, you can cover a lot of water... Good Luck

I shot this year for the first time on Tuesday night at 7pm.. Didn't have any problem getting in.. Once you are in, they allow you to sing up early for the upcoming year, to ensure you get the slot you want/need.. I really enjoyed shooting there and met a lot of good people.. Plus, it helps to keep you sharp year round

YT, Try Craigslist.. I have seen numberous post under the "Farm and Garden" section from people looking to lease land. I obviously don't know how successful people have been, but I do know that there are a lot of farmers that use it to sell hay, straw, etc... It doesn't cost anything, so worth a shot...

I would always set the higher line out further.. My logic has always been that if a fish comes upo for the bottom line and doesn't take it.. YOu have the higher line trailing a little further behind to get a 2nd chance..
