  1. commercialstrength... I get it at Tractor Supply.. It is 41% active ingredient
  2. I have been planting food plot for the past 5 years with good success... That said, Step 1 is always to kill what is there. My question is what is the right ratio (%) to mix Roundup (..or similar product)? If you read the instruction, they give you the amount of roundup you need for a 2% solution and a 5% solution. i usually mix it at a point in the middle, but I always wonder if that is to much and am I wasting it? Will a 2% solution kill the majority of what is there? Was wondering if anyone else has tinkered or if any of the people that farm for a living have the expertise to share. I appreciate the help!!
  3. I have 4 steel trailer rims. They are 15" (4.5x5) and have a load capacity of 1,820lbs. The are a littel rusty (...they are steel), but other wise in good shape. they came off of a horse trailer, but could be used on any trailer type $30 takes all 4.. PM me or call 585-738-9163
  4. The where is the easy question... Indian Mountain Archery in Hamlin.. Phil will get it set up right for you.. you won't be disappointed.. If it were me, I would go with the Z9.. I shot one and it is unbelievable.. In my opinion, there is more to it than speed. I will give up speed for a silent bow that is more forgiving.. that is what you get with the Z9... Good Luck!!
  5. I agree 100%!!! Very weel thought out, easy concepts to grasp.. The 6 hours seemed to fly by.. It was informative and engaging from start to finish... Kudos to the Capt's for sharing their foundation, attention to detail and the art of repeatability... Hoping they will be invited back next year for round #2... I guess that would be a hint, hint, wink, wink for LOTSA..

Capt. Vince.. Just out of curiosity, how much lower is the water level today then it was back in the 70's? I know that the water levels fluctuate month to month and year to year, but is there that much of a dramatic difference in the "normal" water level? thx
  7. I'll add another.... you have a great screen, but can't get the fish to bite.. What do changes would you normally make and in what sequence.. speed?, presentation?, etc?
  8. How to be successful during that "June tranistion" period, when the fish seem to disappear for a few weeks..
  9. Tony Costanza... Best Hot Dogs you will ever taste.....
  10. I have not. I also haven't put a ton of rounds through it either. What type/size of ammo are you using?
  11. Chrome Slayer, Great Buck.. unfortunately, I wasn't able to test out my 220 in the field this past weekend... Saw a few smaller bucks but no shooters... The performance on the range is amazing, so hopeful that I get a chance to put it to some "real work"in the next couple of weeks. Congratualtions. Well Done!!
  12. Got to be honest.... Taking pictures before putting the deer down is VERY poor taste. I usually really enjoy your posts, but not this one.. I was always taught to respect ever deer that I am fortunate to take and any other game for that matter. Anything short of IMMEDIATELY finishing off the deer is the wrong move (IMO)... just my 2 cents..
  13. IF you are in Rochester, I would suggest Beikirch in East Rochester...
  14. We have a similar thing going on in the Rochester area at some of the old Kodak sites.. It is proof that if you let them grow, they will grow some big racks
  15. Fx.. Great job andf great story.. Thanks for sharing..
  16. Well, I finally bit the bullet and bought a 220.. I shot it for the first time today and I am very impressed.. First 2 shots were at 60 yards and the were touching about 2.5 inches left... Made a few adjustment and shot a few more time... Now shooting dead center and about an inch and a half high at 60 yards with 3" federals... I think my 2 favorite thing about the gun are the recoil pad and the accu-trigger... The recoil pad makes it feel like you are shooting a low caliber rifle.. Really allows you to focus on the shooting part... The accu trigger really gets you focused on squeezing the trigger.. It is so easy to say you are going to do it, but the accu trigger makes it happen... I am really happy with it so far... going to try some longer range shooting over the course of the next couple of weeks.. Any one looking for a new deer gun, i would highly reccomend it.
  17. Did you manage to get one of those other brutes that you posted pictures of?
  18. What do you figure he would score? Close to 150?
  19. what you are seeing in terms of deer activity. Share pictures that you take while on stand and any other neat things you see... Just something to passs the time and might be of interest to other hunters... I carry my blackberry with me in the stand (..on silent mode of course)... I play poker and solatiare to pass the time, but also surf the web some... I am always checking out and getting caught up on posts on LOU, that is why the real time tweets might be fun.... What do others think.. sounds like FX is into it as well..
  20. I agree... I think it would be a lot of fun and help the down time go by quicker.... Sat through the dainpour for an hour and a half last evening... Deer were moving once the rain stopped.. Good luck this evening... chad, I know this is a fishing site, bt any chance we can get hunting tweets?
  21. saw similar things at my camp this past weekend.. Didn't spend a lot of time in the woods, but the sign was very obvious.. Not sure i ever saw that much sign so early in the year.. Hopefully it is a good sign (...no pun intended)...
