  1. The one in the last set of pictures is awesome.. What character!!! Hope you get him and have him on the wall to enjoy for years to come
  2. They are Scoutguard cameras.. Not very well know, but get great reviews.. Here is a link.. http://www.covertscoutingcamera.com/index.html They are the size of a pop can and easy to use... The price is reasonable too.. Maybe the best part is that i have had them for a year, keep them out most of the time and I am still on the original set of 8 AA batteries.. Can't beat that.. Tom
  3. Here is what should be a decent buck.. This video is from 7/10, so a few weeks of growing left.. It looks like a fairly young deer, so could be a real good one.. I thought this was interesting.. this is the same deer 2 weeks apart and you can see how much he has grown... Notice the little kicker on the left base, that is how I knew it was the same deer Another that looks to be pretty decent
  4. I have a Karavan single place snowmobile trailer for sale.. It is in good shape.. When I bought it a buddy of mine sprayed the underside with rust proofing, so it has held up great.. The deck is also in really good shape. Also convenient for other odd jobs.. $325 PM me if interested
  5. It was always my opinion that the "at the Oak" reports made the average fisherman a good fisherman when heading out of the Oak.. I spent many a Friday studying the reports and putting my strategy together for Saturday morning.. For those of us that didn't have the luxury of getting out during the week, the information was invaluable.. I also feel that his "open communication" instilled an attitude of sharing amongst the captains at the Oak.. It is the most "open" port on the lake and ever captain I have talked to is willing to help others catch fish.. I never met him face to face, but exchanged a few emails with him.. he was always gracious and friendly... I think when it is our time, we can only hope that so many people appreciate our contributions and friendship!!
  6. I figured I might be able to get some help here finding somewhere to buy GOOD lumber.. I live in Hamlin and have gone to 3 differnt "big box" stores to purchase some pressure treated lumber.. I go there more out of convenience than anything, but the quality of their lumber was consistently bad in all 3 stores.. It simply looks like they stopped ordering new material and what is left is the stuff that nobody wants.. I complained in all 3 stores and nobody seems to care.. The sotres were empty, so the economy must be taking its toll... With the price of lumber these days, I don't want to settle for junk, so would like some suggestions as to where I can get some good lumber in the brockport/hamlin area.. I believe there is a lumber yard in holley, but I don't have any experience... I apologize for the off topic question, but I know that there are a lot of people from this area on the site and figured I could get some help..
  7. I just hope it doesn't negatively impact the charter captains.. With the economy the way it is, the last thing you needs is out of state fisherman or residents that buy a 3 day liscence to go out on a weekend charter get wacked another $10 bucks.. Doesn't sound like a lot, but for a party of four, its $40 on top of everything else they spend... I don't know, seems unfair when you see all the other millions of dollars that are clearly wasted
  8. there is a place on 260, right at the end of Hamlin Center... may want to check.. heard he may have space
  9. I don't know... I think that is a pretty awesome buck!!! Congrats!!
  10. Pretty soon, the boys will want to go out hunting with you.. Now that will be fun!!
  11. Patience and discipline definitely pay off.. Great Deer!!
  12. A few years ago, I didn't have a camera stolen, but someone took the film out and left the camera at the base of the tree... I figure it must have been someone I would have recognized in the picture and they obviously didn't want me to know they were on my property.. It ticked me off, but at the end of the day, I still had my camera...
  13. That's fantastic.. Great Job.. I bet they are hooked for many years to come..
  14. I'm really liking that last one..
