  3. Nick, I certainly can understand your disappointment and frustration, however, there is no use crying over spilled milk. The next logical step should be to contact the taxidermist, inform him that a mistake was made, and ask him what can be done. If has any sense of moral decency he will fix his error at no cost to you. Yes, it is going to take some more time, but remember, people are only human--they do make mistakes. At least give him the opportunity to correct his. No one was quicker to jump the gun when it came to these matters than myself, but over time I have learned there is an easier way.

  5. Yes it is 156 ft. Most of our fishing was done in Adolphus Reach around these depths. We were running our cranks anywhere from 20 to 40 feet down. Surprisingly most fish came at 25 feet. Here is another pic. Simply amazing to see that many fish on the screen. We would find schools of fish like the pic above and work the school.
  6. Our first trip to Quinte was just as expected. The conditions were tough ranging from dead calm and 45 degrees to freezing rain, heavy winds and frigid temps. It was a classic "you should have been here some other time" however, it was a great trip. We caught a sub-par one to two fish per day with the exception of our last day, we caught 6. The fish were 7-12lbs. Purple prisim Reef Runner caught most of the fish, but wild thing, barbie, and bare naked caught some fish too. All fish released successfully. Any day I can go fishing is a great day, and it was a great trip. Here are some pics
  7. Gander Mt sells them there called Trinity - Special-Mate 8" Spoon Box-Teal Also can be seen at http://www.franksgreatoutdoors.com
  8. I am running a Fish Hawk. I will get a morning outing out of a battery. 5-6 hrs. I usually start the afternoon outing with the same battery and switch it up with my spare when the readings start to become erratic. The nice thing is I always have a fully charged back-up waiting. At the end of the day, I put the batteries in the charger and I am ready to start the next day with two fresh batteries in hand. I am using the green colored batteries.
  9. I got tired of buying $10 worth of batteries per weekend trip, so I bought 2 9 volt's and charger from Radio Shack. The set up cost $60. I've gotten about a dozen or so uses out of each battery and still goin. I am satisfied.
  10. Not to hi-jack the thread, but do any of you guys know how much backing you can get on a Penn 330 GTI while running 450 ft of copper (if that is even possible). Thanks Bob
  11. I personally have never used the stuff therefore can't comment about Cajun line. I am currently happy with the line I am using(P-Line 30 lb test for salmon trolling) and (6lb,8lb,and 10lb fluro clear for walleye fishing). Although I would keep in mind at deeper depths red appears black under water. I am sure this would affect fish catching percentages, but to each their own. I found this web page. Check it out.
  12. Mercury Platinum Throttle & Shift Cable for sale. When rigging my kicker this past winter, the dealer had sold me the wrong set of cables. Because I installed them, I was unable to return them. I now have them cluttering up my garage and need to sell them. The cables are 26 feet long and the Mercury Part Number is: 877773A26. New price was approximately 140.00. I would be willing to let the pair go for 70.00 which is 1/2 of the price I paid. Shipping is not included. Bob
  13. This is what you are looking for. This was taken today. http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/ ... 3.250m.jpg Bob
  14. Andre: From my experience I would stay away from mono when using dipsey's for several reasons. One I found the dipsey very hard to dial in using mono, constantly finding myself adjusting the tension on the release, only to have a fish hit and the damn release not pop because I just had increased the tension to prevent false releases. Secondly, I can remember when I was fishing with mono, I must have looked like those Bass Pro's on TV setting the hook, except I was only trying to pop my release. LMAO. About 5 years ago I began using 30lb wire and its been a very consistent fish catcher. If you plan on fishing Lake O, I would suggest spooling with wire in order to combat the spiny water flee otherwise, you will achieve similar results with a 20lb braid. Keep in mind, if you spool up with braid, it is always a good idea to start by placing 20-30 yards of mono on the real. Doing this helps prevent the line form slipping on the reel. Well, I'm sure there are more reasons, but these are enough to make me honestly say "I will never use mono to tow a dipsey diver, ever. Hope this helps Bob
  15. I caught a net bass fishing one time, a side diver with flasher and fly while trolling for trout, and had a seagull attack a crankbait in mid cast. The gull broke the line, and I never did get my rapala back come to think of it. Bob

  17. Got the fever? How did the motor run? I will be up May 1st and have an open spot if your interested. Bob
  18. Heard the ice was all the way down to Wilson. We fished east of out of Olcott, temps were 39-43 on Sat. All fish boated came in the 43 degree water. Bob
  19. Anyone know the reasoning behind moving the camera? And what jetty in the harbor are we now seeing? For what it's worth, I think the old view was 100% better. Bob
  20. I was mistaken in my description. The shaft seems to be measured as 25" and it was measured from the top of the cavitation plate to the top of the mounting bracket. As for reliability, I used this motor all season with absolutely no problems. Reliability =10: Starting = 10 usually on the first or second pull. I also left you a phone message with a contact number. Bob [/img]
  21. Merry Fishmas to all, and to all a good night
  22. This is a 1994 Mariner 9.9 hp tiller two cycle motor. It has a 25" shaft. Motor is in excellent condition. Starts on first or second pull. It was winterized at the end of each season and has been stored indoors during winter months. It always had new plugs and gear case oil to start every season. This motor has been used in freshwater only. Comes with 3.1 gallon tank and manual. It was used as a kicker motor on my 19' boat until I was coerced into buying a 4 stroke. Personally, if I thought I could recoup the money I spent on the 4 stroke I would sell that and keep the Mariner. I am looking to get 650.00 + shipping for the motor. I will deliver up to 100 miles. Shipping costs are anticipated at approx $100.00. Please post any questions that you may have regarding this motor.
