  1. http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/topic/32590-gamblers-2012-season-in-review/ Here you go Pap. Check this link. Half way down you will see Kurt holding the beast.
  2. The 23.14 we won the summer loc with was 37" and fat. I would say 18-22lbs. The 24.11 I have on my wall was 39", and the 34.06 was 43 3/8" long.
  3. A few years from 15 to 25 to 40???? How long ago was it $15 dollars? It has been way more than a few years. It was $25.00 for a long time without an increase.
  4. This is one change in the LOC that does not bother me. $40.00 is not a lot of money when you have a chance at winning $25,000.00. The odds of winning compared to the lottery is a lot better. If you want to get your entry fee back, don't chase kings and go with the trout. Less people target trout and it is easier to get your money back.
  5. You have to enter at a tackle shop. No online registration. It's over Sunday so better get moving!
  6. 45lb Atommik copper gets my vote. I have been running it for years and it has put many fish in the boat.
  7. A Lake O trophy. Congrats guys!
  8. Not going to save a one! I'm on vacation the first two weeks of July every year Steve!
  9. Anyone catch the dates for the 2016 LOC derbies? It looks like the summer derby has been chopped down to 5 weekends instead of 6 July 1st - July 31st..........
  10. I would have to say Lake Ontario sunrises/sunsets are better! No docks, hoists, cottages and hills in the way to watch the sun dip into the lake!
  11. The fishing has been a lot better this year than last. Lots of 2 and 3 year old kings around. We even caught a king that was already in staging colors on Friday.
  12. The issue is with the current not the wind. If it blows hard enough, the currents will push them closer to structure and they will hug bottom more. Pin point structure and you will find them.
  13. The cold water was on the move Thursday night into Friday morning. The guys out Thursday night had temp down 120+ and Friday morning it was down 90 and coming up as the day went on. Hopefully it comes up some and the fleas stay away. It was nice to have almost Zero fleas to mess around with.
  14. Good old NYS! Whats next?
  15. Are you trying out of Sandy Creek in Hamlin or near the Salmon River? The Sandy in Hamlin is littered with lakers. Cowbells and Spin n glows or peanuts is the number one producer for lakers. Spoons and flashers and flies will work but it will not out produce the proper art of dragging cowbells.
  16. You want numbers, hit the waters the guys were talking about in the previous posts. For big ones, 130-150 shipbuilders to just past Hedges was my best area for slobs when I kept my boat in Ibay.
  17. It makes pooping a real pain!
  18. The cable also has to be uncoated and touching the set screw on the bottom of the spool to allow the short stop to work.
  19. Call Higbie Farm Supplies in North Chili. They might be able to get you what you want Matt.
