  1. i heard from guys there that saturday was a good day and i assume thats why it was as busy as it was on sunday.
  2. busy place this morning, it might of qualified for its own zip code. slow but steady perch action. myself and scottb managed 40-50 keepers all on tip downs w/ fatheads.
  3. kappy, i was out with scott this morning on braddocks. i would say 4"+ of clear ice. we fished the south end and there were guys fishing near the point. extremely slow but the majority of what was caught was good size (10"+).
  4. lakers? what are those?
  5. for anyone keeping score at home we have........ 1 vote for flip flops? 1 vote for tevas? and 3 votes for crocs?
  6. i wish i could pile on but it looks like i dont need too!
  7. i would suggest getting them up a little higher if you can. the higher you go the wider you can make your spread and still keep the planer board line out of the water
  8. any one up for some seafood?
  9. how high off the water would you say that is? 6' seems to work well on my boat.
  10. no but for the past few years weve been going to http://www.ringneckhunting.com/ cant say anything but great things about the people and the hunts.
  11. ....and noones fishing it yet
  12. it should be called "the bad a** wire knot"
  13. looks like they are going forward with the tourny but it sure seems like it was a struggle. heres a link: http://thefishyspot.com/forum/viewtopic.phpt=602&sid=b40c71f54f3047d3e03147d8b4afc075

    ice?

looks like we should have some "good" ice by next weekend
  15. i run 9'6" heartland rods w/ the diawa sealines. (crimps suck!!! but dont learn it the hard way just use the wire knot.) e-chips and spin docs both have their days (green, white, glow) also a great tool to go along with your new dipsy rigs: "Precision Trolling Big Water Edition Book". shows you dive curves of your dipseys. a must own in my eyes

    ice?

looks like we should get our ice back. (sry guys for lack of ice but i had to buy an auger). the weather guessers are saying temps shouldnt be above freezing for the next 7+ days.
  17. lures = fish.....................so................. more lures = more fish?...............right?............... sounds convincing, doesn't it?
  18. i think many of us struggle with that same tackle addiction
  19. i run 4 proos on my boat and keep 2 spares in the garage. i know the time will come when a rebuild is the only option. please post the outcome, id love to know how you guys make out.
  20. FYI http://www.trapattack.com/index.html
  21. slapshot my advice to you is to browse this site as much as possible and try to absorb what you can. there is probably a post on everything you could possibly need to know. once the fishing starts (late march) continue to check the fishing reports and see what guys are doing. guys will post where, what, when, how, and why. also a marine radio tuned to your ports favorite channel is a great tool while on the water.
  22. word of the day was "sloooooow" dont know if it was a case of "YOU SHOULD OF BEEN HERE YESTERDAY"? 3 guys w/ tip downs iced 12 keeper perch tossed back a few dinks. saw a few perch caught and maybe 6 or so pike too. perfect day for fishing just not for catching.

    Ibay 1/4

good ice on the NE corner, alot of fisherman and alot of fish too. 5 tip downs and 4 jigging rods produced about 60 keepers. about every 3rd fish over 8" w/ a few over 10". action was quite steady throughout the morning.
