  1. I use a Garmin echomap 93sv with a ps30 transducer. It's excellent for both trolling and jigging. Most charters on Lake Ontario are going to the PS30 transducer with the Garmin. It's an unbelievable live scope transducer that is perfect for trolling. I have mine mounted differently than the standard way to get a longer beam angle that goes further in front and back of the boat. You can literally see a fish and raise your rigger to the correct depth before the boat goes over the fish. I highly recommend. Look up Rick with Yankee troller he can hook you up. Take care, Dan
  2. Hello All, I'm not putting the boat away for a while but I wanted to get ahead of the storage issue for the winter. I have a Sea Hunt Victory 225 WA and I am looking for a storage facility somewhat close to Honeoye Falls. My boat is 22'.5"L and 8'.5"W. Thank you all in advance. Best, Dan Hullihen
  3. Agree with Woody we use 50lb big game and set drags to just trickle out when we get too fast. The mono will stretch no need for snubbers. Now for the cannon HS riggers that's another story. Use the amish outfitters for those.
  4. Lady O is giving back Brian! LOL
  5. Incredible man I can wait to see all the work you have done! Nice job!
  6. Nice report Bri! It looks like you updated the cushions etc. Is the wiring all new as well? I know you were fighting that last time I saw the boat. Man the boat looks great from the last time I saw it last year!
  7. That is what it's all about right there! Well done Dad!! Fishing with my son has taken it to a whole other level for me.
  8. Sorry for the late reply. Curious how you made out? It was a great year for snows. The stuck around for a long time which was unusual. We did well. Lots east this year near Skaneateles, Marcellus and Cato. Anytime you need any other info let me know. Be Well, Dan
  9. They were here pretty heavy before the cold came. I believe they headed south after the super cold on Friday but will be back for sure with this warm up. It's been a strange year they have been here since early December back and forth. Lots of adults and very small amount of Juvies. This makes them very hard to hunt. They are snows!! Any given day you can set up 2k decoys and shoot one or shoot 50. They are jumping fields everyday. Wish for a warm day with full sun and good wind. Does your outfitter move or does he have fixed spreads? PM me with any questions I have hunted them for years and traveled with them moving my spreads often. Best, Dan
  10. Looking for a subtroll head unit. (The dial with the temp and speed). Will also buy complete set up if needed. Thanks! Dan
  11. Definitely talk to Brian at Gambler rigs! He's a great guy and shares everything you will need to be successful. Awesome person! Don't overlook death traps they are more speed tolerant that allow you to fish for more species.
  12. Fished from 12:30 to 4:30 from the college to long point 120-240 fow. Finished 6-9 with 5 Lakers 1 Rainbow. 200, 300 copper , 10 Color, Riggers 70-120. Gambler rigs with cowbells and death traps. Spoons and flatfish all did fish. My son boated a plus laker. Beautiful day on the water. Very little fleas and scant boat traffic. 13. Hoping to go out on Cayuga for the first time in a lot of years. Planning on launching at Union Springs. Are the fleas bad? Any reports or advice that are helpful out of that port? We are all set up with riggers, core and copper. We also have gambler rigs etc for lakers if needed. Thanks all! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
