  1. They were here pretty heavy before the cold came. I believe they headed south after the super cold on Friday but will be back for sure with this warm up. It's been a strange year they have been here since early December back and forth. Lots of adults and very small amount of Juvies. This makes them very hard to hunt. They are snows!! Any given day you can set up 2k decoys and shoot one or shoot 50. They are jumping fields everyday. Wish for a warm day with full sun and good wind. Does your outfitter move or does he have fixed spreads? PM me with any questions I have hunted them for years and traveled with them moving my spreads often. Best, Dan
  2. Looking for a subtroll head unit. (The dial with the temp and speed). Will also buy complete set up if needed. Thanks! Dan
  3. Definitely talk to Brian at Gambler rigs! He's a great guy and shares everything you will need to be successful. Awesome person! Don't overlook death traps they are more speed tolerant that allow you to fish for more species.
  4. Fished from 12:30 to 4:30 from the college to long point 120-240 fow. Finished 6-9 with 5 Lakers 1 Rainbow. 200, 300 copper , 10 Color, Riggers 70-120. Gambler rigs with cowbells and death traps. Spoons and flatfish all did fish. My son boated a plus laker. Beautiful day on the water. Very little fleas and scant boat traffic. 5. Hoping to go out on Cayuga for the first time in a lot of years. Planning on launching at Union Springs. Are the fleas bad? Any reports or advice that are helpful out of that port? We are all set up with riggers, core and copper. We also have gambler rigs etc for lakers if needed. Thanks all! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. I fish the lake often sometimes 2-3 times a week in the summer. The launch last year was awful. At times I would wait 45 min. or more just to get either in or out of the water. The main issue was the canoe and kayakers. They would pull their vehicles down on the launch and block it for others to get in. Some would park right in the ramp. At times there were 6 or more kayaks lined up on the shore with no people in them resulting in no way to launch or take your boat out of the water. Please note that the DEC opened up a kayak and canoe launch just south of the the north end launch. There is a trail to walk down directly across from the parking lot. With the shallow water and the south end launch being useless it will be especially hard for boaters and fisherman to launch and pull their boats.
  7. Hello all, I am in search of a small deer hunting lease for my Dad, my son and I. We have been frustrated with hunting public farms and state land. I am only looking for a small place so I can share the experience with my Dad and new to hunting son. If you know of anything open could you pass it on? I currently live in Honeoye Falls. Many Thanks! Dan
  8. Thats why we love it Bud! We look forward to next year! Again well done, you are a hell of a fisherman!

  10. Great Pics Jeremy! Nothing better than taking a kid fishing. It my favorite thing that my son and I do although we are mostly on Hemlock. My three girls sometimes venture out at well. Well done!
  11. That pickerel is huge!! Listen to one of the best lake trout guys in Rochester!
  12. https://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/7832.html Website says all DEC boat launches are closed.
  13. Back in the game Jack? Miss ya buddy!
  14. Was a great day buddy! Seems like the norm to wade through the lake trout to find the kings. Crazy how we were trolling a king spread at king speed and still pounding the lakers. No complaints when the rods are moving! Thanks for the trip my friend!
  15. Don't listen to all the fish stories that ssafran21 and Lakertaker post about Hemlock. It's all lies! Just stoking the fire for next years invitational thats all.
  16. I refuse to bite on internet troll idiocy and intolerance.
  17. 95% of the time yes. These went on my smoker however. I don't believe taking a few fish out of the lake is going to hurt the fishery. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
