  1. Sean the other day we were out of Hughes and went 8 for 10 the good temp was 50-60 down and 100 to 140 fow was our best depth with anything green and a nk raspberry mixed in also. Our wires and core did most of the damage wires 150 and 180 and full core in the water with a stinger nbk.......... Dale
  2. Hey Kevin I did not get out Sunday due to my daughters birthday party prep. They usually hang on channel 68 out of Hughes.... I will talk with you wednesday night and will be hitting the water weds. and thurs.... Dale
  3. Chris, Pat and Dave, Congratulations on a nice fish and taking the summer cash.... I am sure you guys will have more finishes like this in the future.. I think you have the right combination working over the last year so keep up the good work... Unfortunately for you guys is that I am going to try my hardest to best you guys this Fall LOC...... Dale

  5. (Mud Chicken) : Fishing Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): (7/24/09) Time on Water: (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM) Temp/Weather: (75°F and sunny, overcast, rain) Wind Speed/Direction: (NW at 8-10 MPH) Waves: (1-3 Footers) Surface Temp: (67°F) Location: (fishing location) LAT/LONG: (GPS Cords) =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: (10) Total Boated: ( Species Breakdown: (6 Kings, 1 coho,1 Lake Trout) Hot Lure: (NK28, Black Spindoctor with Green glow A-TOM-MIC Fly) Trolling Speed: (2.8 mph) Down Speed: () Boat Depth: (100-140 ft) Lure Depth: (40-6 ft) Got a late start out of Hughes today due to something called work. Fished with Tim (Finders Keepers) and my boss got set-up in 120 fow and as we set the last rod the Portside Wire rod went with a black spin doctor and a glow green Atomik fly, boated a nice king. Rods got quiet for us and everybody else fishing, so we kept at them and changed some things up and about 2 hours later all hell broke loose the core rod went with a nbk with the knot in the water, then the wire rod went again with a green echip and green crinkle fly went with a major screaming 500 feet of wire before the wire got hung up on the spool somehow and broke the wire.... I will be taking a trip to abes to replace a bunch of stuff from that. Nice pick after that of Kings with the other wire rod and core rod.. We picked up a nice 9lb Lake Trout on the black spin doctor with green glow atomik fly and then a one eyed coho on the only rigger shot just before the storms were coming in down 52 over 100... Best action was 100-135 fow for us....Could not be happier going 8 for 10 with such a late start of fishing... Talked with Holy Mackerel on the vhf and they were picking away at them today also... Good talking with you boys today.. Going to shoot for sunday morning, wife ain't going to be happy bout that... Otherwise maybe weds or thurs....... Woody.
  6. Chris I am pretty excited about fishing the Fall LOC. I think we may see a 40lber on the board with the size of these majors so far this season.. I will be out tomorrow morning to try a few different tactics... Stan The neighbor you see in the picture is a huge help to my business in the Fall during Deer Processing Season and he is a hardworking nice guy. We have been talking for a few years about fishing together and it finally fell into place.. He is pretty good on a rod once the fish is hooked. I plan on getting him out next week also, he is also a wealth of information... Those pants I cannot tell you how many times they have been saved cause the wife was about to toss em in the garbage. I told her they are the most comfortable pair I gots...... Dale
  7. Keith I had a report that the fishing was better out in 200-225 fow so that is where I was heading. I always have a plan of how I am going to fish and the plan was to setup in 150fow and troll on a nw heading to 225fow and see what would happen and how the screen looked... Once I hit 215fow I decided beacuse of the 1-3 footers that I would work back to 150fow just zigzagging.. It worked 3 for 6 for 4 1/2 hours of fishing... Tim the screen looked good with occasionall fish in the 80-110 down but not one baitpod on the screen..Wires were out anywhere from 260-360 and I was collecting quite a bit of weeds on them. It could have been the presentation that is why they were quiet...Dale
  8. BP you can pay as you go for the Bear Creek Launch... Stop by the Ontario Town Hall and they will explain to you that is $5.00 to launch and that you can only use the launch on weekdays not weekends..... Ginna has been using the launch exclusively in recent months for a major project and they are going to upgrade the entire launch area once there project is complete this summer....... Dale
  9. Kevin nice report on the Lakers. We had a good morning today for the Kings... You and I need to do a swap... U take me to Seneca and I will take you out on LO for the Kings.... I will see you tomorrow night at the game...... Dale.
  10. (Mud Chicken) : Fishing Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): (07/21/09) Time on Water: (7:00 AM – 11:00 aM) Temp/Weather: (65°F and partly sunny) Wind Speed/Direction: (Ne at 10 MPH) Waves: (1-3 Footers) Surface Temp: (68°F) Location: (pultneyville) LAT/LONG: (GPS Cords) =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: (6) Total Boated: (3) Species Breakdown: (3 Kings) Hot Lure: (NK28 glowfrog, White Spindoctor with Green A-TOM-MIC Fly) Trolling Speed: (2.9 mph) Down Speed: (1.8 mph) Boat Depth: (200 ft) Lure Depth: (80 ft) I hit the water with one of my retired neighbors that has not fished for Salmon for many years. we started right off the bat in 150 fow down 120 on a mag glowfroggy. The neighbor lost it.. Got set back up and the glowfrog fired again and after another short fight he lost another King.. Got back set up and around 200 fow we had a hit on a white spindoctor and glowgreen atomik fly... Lost another.. I told him next release I would stick it and he could fight it...Thats what happened.. Glowfroggy went again and i stuck him 120 down over 205fow... As we are fighting that we had another major hit the white spinny down 102.. Boated both fish.. Later in the day we took another 22lber on a glowfroggy all rigger action...Wires were dead......
  11. Andy, I have been launching my 21' Sylvan out of Hughes Marina on the Williamson/Sodus Border... Nice fishing and nice people out there... Let me know if you want to get after them kings soon..... Dale.
  12. Just rebuilt the carb and replaced a cracked fuel line today.....
  13. Andy, Nice looking chinook.. I hope Jackson got to reel in that badboy... I am hopeing to get the boat in the water in the am with the neighbor. What are you fishing out of right now.... Dale
  14. Tim I have the Diawa 47LC reels on the 10 1/2 foot eagle dipsey rods. One thing I found with my 47LC's that the counters are not super accurate. If I run the counter to 300 feet I may really be out 330 or 340 feet.. I think each reel's counter is a little different...When I had the Penn GTI reel on my dipsey rod I counted 10 feet on every pass of the line guide. This seemed to work pretty good for me and that set-up. Now your Walkers surprised me with running them out like we did the other day and we still did not bump bottom... I think we will have to test them on a #2 setting and run in to shallower water to get an accurate reading for the counter on the reels.....Woody
  15. Julie nice report but I believe your line was fouled by the horrible spiny water fleas... They are in full bloom right now..... My 30lb ande fishing line will not even repel them..... Woody
  16. I can email pics of the outboard and the PW50... The outboard price lowered to $350.00 and the PW50 to $400.00... I also have a fold away attic ladder for FREE!, I just want it out of the garage... It is great shape..... If nobody wants the ladder it will find its way to the burn pile....... Dale
  17. bretter I understand about the fish being screen shy as long as they are biting... We will give it a whirl on sunday.... Stan have not seen the sun in some time... Also we have had several inches of rain in the last month......
  18. How did the picture look out in the 150ft to 180ft area.... We were out the other night out of hughes and screen was blank past 75 fow... we did 2 small browns in 50-60 fow on glow frogs and lost another on a dirty white boy.... Do you have down temp on the little brown..... Should be out on Sunday morning with my 21ft Sylvan if I can put a crew together.... Woody
  19. Tim nice report did you run any flasher and fly setups today and did you mark any bigger fish tonight..... I was going to try to get out on thursday am but the wife just informed I have to run my daughter to the orthodontist at 8:45 so I would like to just get a late start on thursday or fish the evening... I got your message and I am working now... I will be in touch to setup our plans for the week...... Dale.
  20. Tim I am available this week to fish ... Possibly tuesday or thursday.... let me know which may be good for you... Dale
  21. (mud chicken) : Fishing Report ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(): (06/24/09) Time on Water: (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM) Temp/Weather: (85°F and sunny) Wind Speed/Direction: (NW at 8 MPH) Waves: (Calm) Surface Temp: (63°F) Location: (wayne county) LAT/LONG: (GPS Cords) =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: (4) Total Boated: (4) Species Breakdown: (4 Bows) Hot Lure: (NK28 glow frog and nbk) Trolling Speed: (2.2 mph) Down Speed: () Boat Depth: (60-80 ft) Lure Depth: (24-28 ft) We got a touch of a late start due to a minor problem at the launch.. Boat would not run, found the problem and hit the water @ 9 am trolled on a nw troll hit the first taildancer at 9:45 on corner rigger down 24 over 62 fow on the glowfrog. Then took a nice 9 lb bow on a glowfrog off the wire out 75 over 70 fow. That was a great show... It got quiet for an hour and I dropped the core in at 4 colors with a nbk and took a small bow within 5 mins... It was quiet for a while again made the change over to a king program and took and lowered the core rod to full core in the water and picked up another beautiful rainbow..... Other than the sunburn it was a great mid-morning of fishing on the water.......
  22. Sounds good Chris... I did a compression check and the cylinders are holding 135 lbs or better on all four... I am going to try to get it out to see what happens after another oil change... It just may be a intake manifold gasket.... Dale
  23. Tim and Chris sorry been very busy working crazy hours and on projects at home and for a neighbor. Been trying to get a sweet 1951 ford pickup up and running for the neighbor kid across the street. I also picked up a mini bike for my kids free on the side of the road and that is up and running now and the kids are having a ball with it..Boat ran good until I got it home and found the oil milky, so I am working on that issue, may have solved this and I need to mount 2 dipsey rod holders as I had a rod holder snap off the boat and almost lost my dipsey set-up. Tim I am interested in fishing the LOC if you want this summer with my boat or your boat. Chris boat is running great except for the oil issue now. If you want to get out and fish the LOC let me know.
