    Yes it has been with us and in Europe a lot longer than here. It can spread from the handling of caught fish dead or alive. Except for the St.Lawerence River muskie population in NY, where has it really decimated gamefish populations and it has been for 29 yrs ?     Fished it a few years back and caught a small barracuda trolling the charter I used is no longer in business. Ask the workers if you are at an all inclusive do not use the resort packages way to expensive hope this helps .
