  10. I have a 115 Yamaha and a 15 Merc kicker both 4 strokes. I have been using 4 stroke 10w-30 oil. I was wondering if any of you have been using synthetic 10w-30 or regular 10w-30? Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Sean
  11. I run every thing from two colors of lead core all the way up to 15 colors on Cayuga. The first part of the year if I only had one choice would be a six color. After july would be a 10 or a 12 color. I would get one of the walleye bords (planer boards) from Church Tackle Co, and run it off the side. As for backing I use Power Pro usualy 150 yds per reel. Sean Brown
  12. I use lead core alot so I only get one and a half to two years out of it at the most. I use power pro for the backing, and 50 ft of 20lb floro for the leader.
  13. Im in, Does every one in boat need to be registered on LOU or just the Capt? I am new to the site but I live in the area and fish Cayuga alot, if any help is needed with any thing to do with the turnament just let me know. Thanks Sean
  14. I was wondering if any of you have used the small Shimano Tekota for wire line? I have a 600 with wire and that has been a great reel. I am swapping out a Okuma Catalina wire line rig and want to know if you think the 500 will hold enough line, and if you think it will hold up on a dipsey rod. Thanks Sean
  15. Ken I have the S1000 also I dont know if it is because of the Lowrance GPS I have it hooked to but it is less forgiving about 2.2 is as slow as I can go. So when im on the Finger lakes it is usualy off. I wish I would of went with another option. Sean
  16. I drove down to Severn today, the launch was clear and two trucks and trailers were in the parking lot. The south end launch in the canal was not open today. Im shure the launch across the street is open but it is steep.
  17. I am retying a bunch of trolling flys, but before I get too involved I thought I would ask you guys what line and pound test you use. Also what knot do you prefer at the hook. I tryed the Uni Snell Knot but I would like to add a stinger hook. What size and brand of stinger hooks would you use. Thanks Sean
  18. I have never ran them with split rings. Most of my spoons with split rings I have removed the rings, I think you get better action from the spoon with a good quality light swivel and no ring.
