  1. Yankee Troller thats what I was thinking. Thats why when I run 4 leadcore lines off a side I use inlines. Thanks for the help guys I have some scotty releases I will give them a try with the 600. My church walleye boards work for the 400 but not for the 600. I am shure some one will make a larger inline board for 600ft of copper.
  2. Nice Ride Have you had the boat out on the lake yet? I hope to get out this next week.
  3. Last year I ran 200 ft to 400 ft copper rods off of inline board and the 600 copper off of the back. I have my otter boat boards rigged up, can I run a 200, a 400, and a 600 on the same side off of one otter boat? And if so what release do you guys use to hook to the 600 section that still alows it to break free with a fish on? Thanks Sean
  4. I got the new boat rigged up and ready for the water. I had a tackle station built and am happy with the way it turned out. I found Fin Addict Marine on line, I gave him a drawing and some measurements and a week later it was at my door It has stainless steel locking latches, gasketted drawers, it is built like a tank. I added a second Sub Troll and a Lowrance HDS unit to the top of it. The HDS unit is networked to the HDS unit in the Pilot House. I put on my Traxstech equipment and added a second rocket launcher from Great Lakes Planers. Hear are some PICS.
  5. I have two of the Sub Troll units on my boat have had no problems, with the units working at slow trolling speeds.
  6. The Blue Sea Fuse Blocks are great to work with I just put 3 of them in my boat with the 8AWG wire. Bad Habit your wash down pump probably uses 10amps and should have a 15amp breaker, I just finished working on my pump today.
  7. Jimski2 Do you use the EZ-Steer for the connection. Sean
  8. Thanks Guys I got a couple from cabelas and cut them to the right size, put them on with screws and life caulk. Sean
  9. I would like to see about 5 miles of the creek closed down. I used to fish the tribs that run into the main creek in the late 80s to about 94. It was full of fish, but I also saw guys with so many fish on a rope they had to drag it out of the woods at 4am on the 1st . You add that to water and invasive species problems and you get what you have now. Sean
  10. Drove down to Severne today about 12 boats no ice. Sean
  11. I will check Severne Thursday and let you know. Watkins is no good still ice in the canal.
  12. I was told by one of the local DMV workers that if you do your registration on line the state gets all of the money, but if you register your trailer at the County DMV they get part of the money for the County to use. Does anyone know if that is correct?
  13. I have been using the 9ft Ugly Sticks also and they work great for copper and lead core. It is nice when you are running copper down the chute to be able to stick the copper rod in a side rod holder when you have to and still have some seperation from the riggers. The rod looks like a tooth pick when you strap that reel on with 600 ft of copper
  14. I asked Raymarine and Lowrance and was told I had to buy two units. I do not see why they couldnt make a unit with a video output. Sean
  15. Bill will the Cannon rigger mounted holders mount with my cannon riggers on the traxstech swivel mounts? I want to pick some up if they will work. The cannon rod holders that come with the riggers are no good. Sean
  16. Two year ago I had to go to NYC for prints and photo ( it sucked) If you want the info on NYC let me know I will dig it out. Sean
  17. I have looked at all of them and from what I can see the accessories interchange. I went with Traxstech after advise from this site. I just placed the order two weeks ago and should have them in March. I am mounting my 4 mag 10s on them also. Sean
  18. I have two Yamaha outboards 200hp 4 stroke and a 9.9 4 stroke high thrust kicker both 2009 models. The 9.9 came with a Tie bar hook kit that hooks to the front of the motor. This would allow a tie bar to be run from the front of the big motor by the hydraulic steering to the front of the kicker. That way I could steer both motors. In the past I have always used the Ez steer that hooks to the back of the motors. I called Yamaha they said the product (tie bar) is available but they dont sell them. Anyone know how to get one and if it works as well or better than the EZ steer? Thanks Sean
  19. Russ, I have two HDS units on the way, I was told you get a extra wide angle with the 83/200, I am going with the 50/200 just due to the fact I have had great results with the one I have now. I would rather see the fish that are in the area under the boat rather than fish down 100ft and 200 ft to the side.
  20. Chowder what do they cost? I am looking for two short wire rods I have alot of 10' to 11' foot rods. Sean
  21. I have the sub troll and have had no problems. What ever you pick, it is a must have piece of equipment. If you get the sub troll get an extra probe, it can take some time to get a second one. And a few weeks wait in the summer might as well be a year.
  22. Yup down in CT on the sound from All Season Marine Works great guys to deal with. Now the work starts, let me know what you decide with the autopilot. I was going to go with the TR1 for the kicker but im not to shure about only having autopilot on the kicker. Probably go with the AP-14 I have to get with Hank from above post. Thanks Sean
  23. One question on the King of the Lake rules, if I have a team of 5 or 6 that enter do they all have to fish each day? My wife wants to go one day but I might not need her help for the two days Thanks Sean
