  1. We had a great time in Wilson, we arrived on Thursday and hit the lake around 1pm. I didnt know what to expect since I have never fished West of Rochester. We found the fish and put around 20 fish in the boat on Thursday, we did the same on Friday then it was off to the races on Saturday. The shotgun start was great,we finished the day up on Saturday in fifth place and I felt like we had a shot at the top three. The wind blew big time Saturday night and all day sunday I thought for sure the tournament was over, but they let us start at 8am. I had doubts as to how well the 23ft Parker would do but it handled perfectly in the rough water. We tried a new area on Sunday away from the other boats and hammered the fish down deep 80 to 140. Then it was a long wait for the weigh-in, when it was all over we had finished in third place . Here are some photos of the crew and some of the doubles we put in the boat.
  2. Fished the North West branch of Keuka with my oldest daughter and crew in a tournament of the Finger Lakes Troller's Association. We started fishing at 6:30 am and finished around noon. We put over 30 fish in the boat, the biggest being a little over 4 lbs.; typical Keuka lakers. We did catch two small land-lock salmon. The surface temp was around 48 degrees, and all fish were caught in the top 40 feet of water on stinger spoons, except for several lakers caught on wire diver 1.5 setting out 235. We came in second place with are three laker limit weighing total 12 lbs (small fish) . Here are some pictures of who reeled most of them in.
  3. We will be going up Thursday morning. Team name /Boat name Reel Hooked Up. Also it was nice to meet you today Ray. Good luck it should be fun. Sean
  4. Ok guys the Great Lakes Angler magazine is pumping catching kings down 250+on lake Michigan. Do any of you guys catch kings down in 200 or more feet of water? If so what times of the year, and do you think it is something we will be hearing more of on Ontario? I dont know if they are in with Big Jon but the Big Jon Brute Rigger sounds like the only one designed to lift the weight required to fish that deep. Just checking to see if I need to add some more things to the wish list HA . Thanks Sean
  5. Well I hope you guys out on Cayuga put more fish in the boat than we did today. Fished the South end only 3 small salmon alot of boat out on the South end I didnt see ant fish catching going on. We aslo checked out toughanock water was to cold marked alot of lakers at 150 to 200 by toughanock. All the salmon we took in the 10 ft water at south end on spoons.
  6. Will be out on the South end of Cayuga in morning reel hooked up on channel 68. I will let you know how we make out when I get back. Sean
  7. Nope sawbellies I snaged one flatlining a spoon.
  8. Danno, I have both and I use the small boards more than the big boards, they both have good and bad points but in a small boat I would stick with the small boards.
  9. I found bait first thing in the morning in 6 to 8 ft of water in the flats on the South end.
  10. Fished the South end from 6am to 12:30 it was one slow day. Water temp at South end was 40 and 38 to 39 on the rest of the lake. One good thing we found alot of sawbellies at the South end from 20 to 60ft down, we took two monster sawbellies ( about 8 inches ) on spoons down 20 ft . Only other fish we put in the boat was a 6lb 13oz Brown that hit a spoon 20ft down over 40ft. Marked alot of lakers down 120 to 165 but no luck with them.
  11. Rod, My boat is about the same weight as yours boat and trailer 7000lbs. I have a bunk trailer but when I ordered it I got the poly (plastic covers) that go over the top of the bunks. The boat slides great on them, I bet you could add them to your trailer for not to much. Sean
  12. I ran them on Cayuga last spring behind spinn Dr, caught lakers but after two or three fish they fell apart . I have few in my basement still in the box. Sean
  13. Walteye, Like Richard said run your line threw the tubing then turn it sideways 90 deg, then clamp it down. It does not look like it is going to work but it will. Or just put a few feet of mono or floro at the point you usualy hook your diver.
  14. It was one windy morning on Seneca. We made one loop on the South end I had to see how the boat did in the waves, it was nice We put 5 small salmon in the boat 14 to 20 inches, all from 10 to 20 ft down. Water was cold 39.9 to 38on the lake in the canal it was 44, all fish came on stinger scorpion spoons. Marked alot of lakers down 90 to 150 we didn't go after them.

  25. Thanks for all of the compliments guys, I have waited a long time to get the boat. I still have some things on the wish list that I am saving money for like an auto pilot. I ran the riggers last week and with the back riggers extended at an angle they work great. I ran them the same way off my old boat. The only time I had trouble is a couple times I had a fish on a slider off of a side rigger get in the corner rigger. Thanks again and thanks for all of the information on this forum that helped me rigg the boat. Sean
