  1. I do the same with the blacks release, and I run the 12lb on the Finger Lakes and the 12 or 15 on Ontario with no problems. I switched off and on with reg lead weights and the shark weights last summer on the Finger Lakes and I know I defently caught more browns and bows off the rigg with no shark weight. Salmon and lakers was about the same. Who knows the 12 or 15 lb shark does help wth the probe rig blow back. Sean
  2. My Kicker bought new end of 2005 not used but a few times in 2006, I fished with it in 2007 and 08. Washed after every use stored inside all year. Looks like new and runs like new comes with Troll Master Pro 2 remote throttle control. New boat has one I dont need two. Model 15elh HP 15 Electric Start 4-Stroke Price $1700.00 Sean Brown
  3. I have hydrolic stearing on outboard, also have 15hp kicker both 4 strokes. I want an outopilot not the raymarine s1000, one that I can go below 2mph with. I also will have throtle control for kicker in cabin. I can use the EZ steer that I have now to conecr motors but dont need to. I have looked at the TR-1 model but am wondering if you had to steer the boat the only way you could would be with the autopilot am I wrong? I do want a remote that I can drive the boat with from the back of the boat, and throtle control would be nice but not a must. Any good advise Thanks Sean

I am moving up to a 25 ft boat and it makes me sick to sell it, but I can’t own two boats. This boat has never spent a night outside it has been washed after every use and waxed after every 4 trips, and stored in my garage. It looks better that when I purchased it new in 2005. Anyone who has rigged a new boat knows the time and money that went into this boat, well over 40k. Asking 30,000 price firm will not separate equipment. I will post some pics. Sean Brown
  5. Any of you know any good hunting guides for Elk out West? I would like to hear from some one who has gone with a good guide. I have hunted Colorado several times on state land with out a guide but am interested in using an outfitter to take some other friends and family members next year or the year after. Thanks Sean

  8. Fished Cayuga out of Taughannock park from 6:30am till 10:30am. Took Jeff who is new to the Forum and his father. The rain came down hard and the waves where high , but we put some nice fish in the boat. Two rainbows one of which was over 8lbs, a 4lb salmon and several big Lake Trout. Every rod took fish today, all from 80 to 50 ft down over 180 to 300+ ft of water. The guys realy knew how to put fish in the boat with no fish lost. Only passed one other boat all morning.
  9. Robert, That fish hit on the rigger I thought I was on Ontario for a minute. It ran over two leadcore lines I thought for shure It wasnt going to make it to the boat.
  10. Fished Cayuga out of Taughannock park from 7am till 11am. Started off hunting for the rainbows and salmon, and it didn’t take long to get on them. We put 6 salmon in the boat two of them over 5 pounds, 3 big Lakers, and 3 very nice Rainbows one of which was just over 10 lbs. Marked a lot of bait on both sides of the lake 20 to 60 down over 200 to 300+. Wire, Lead and Riggers all took fish today.
  11. Fished Cayuga out of Taughannock with a family from PA. Started at 7am with a big rainbow on the wire dipsy flasher fly down 80. Got the lines back out and we had 4 rods go off 3 nice lakers and a big salmon that got off about 30 ft from the boat. We put two more nice rainbows in the boat several lakers and a salmon, most of which were all caught by one happy eight year old . All fish taken from 40 to 80ft over 260+. Wire dipseys, Riggers, and core were hot today. Had to slow down to 1.8 at the ball today to get the Bows. I will add some pics this evening.
  12. Fished the South end up to just South of Black point, 100 to 200 + FOW. Most fished marked 40 to 100 ft down. Caught a mixed bag of 22 fish Lakers, Bows, and Smallmouth. Wire dipseys, copper, core and riggers all took fish. Mag dipsey set 1.5 out 230 and 160 spin/fly mt dew/ green, spoons on riggers 40 to 70, spoons and cranks on core and copper were hot today.
  13. The guys at Seneca Marine Bait and Tackle would know. They sell set ups for pulling copper. Which is what that set up would be used for. Pull it by hand then use the short rod and hand reel to get it back in the boat. They also sell a box with a motor that will reel it in for you.
  14. Nice report I will be at the South end on Sunday. How was the wead situation today?
  15. Tripledeuce50 I will be on the lake Sunday morning out of South end Reel Hooked Up chanel 68. Put alot of bows and browns in the boat the last couple of weeks on Canandaigua. Spoons at 40 to 60 ft then flashers and flys like FLXTroutman is using. Sean
  16. If you are coming from Cayuga take 34 North to Auburn just before Auburn you will see a sign for Emerson Park. at the North end of the Lake The park has a one of the best boat launches around. Or you can launch at South Shore Marina, South end of the lake off of 38. Good Luck
  17. Ha I dont think my boat will troll that far North for that fish with out some tires. Splitshot just checked my pm you have one on the way. Thanks Sean
  18. Any guess what the winning weight will be? I bet 32 to 35 pounds, still working on geting my crew together for the 2nd.
  19. Took several lakers on them behind dodgers and flashers on the finger lakes. The only problem is after one or two fish they fall apart.
  20. Fished South end of Canandaigua lake got into the lakers first with a few in the 8 to 9lb range. Then found an area with some BIG rainbows put three 6 to 8lb bows in the boat and lost a big one at the back of the boat. Marked alot of fish 30 ft down over 100+ by bait pods ran a rig at 30 and put a 4.6 lb small mouth in the boat. Most fish down 60 over 100+ copper, core, riggers and wire dipseys all took fish.
  21. John, Thanks for the great trip ysterday. We had a blast and I learned alot too. That big fish was 9.10 lbs on the scale at home 5 hrs later. I put alot of fillets in the frezzer after I was done cleaning all of those fish. If anyone wants to have a great trip and not mess with hauling your own boat, John is a great guy to go with. Sean
  22. They just started as of Wed not to bad yet. Fished Cayuga yesterday had to put on the flea flicker and the andy.
  23. Jeremyseg We have been getting a few Rainbows on Owasco most from 10 to 40 ft down. We put a few lakers in the boat Wed along with this 30 inch Rainbow, an eleven year old caught. It put on a good show coming out of the water five times. The bait was all on top Wed and most of the lakers were from 20 to 60 ft down all over the lake.
