The eyes we gat are all 4 to 10lb. Those marks could have been eyes they can be hard to get. It was a little calm this morning I like to hit those points when you have some chop on the water.

Thanks For the info guys. I will be at Deans this Sunday and Monday.

Ok Guys, Just called my friend with over 25 years on as an ENCON Officer in NY in the Finger Lakes area. Kids under 16 you can run Two poles for each with no problem. You can run two rods for each license on boat every one does not need a license on boat, (EX 5 ON BOAT 3 WITH LICENSE 6 RODS) the person with no license can drive the boat but cant net fish. Chowder you must have got checked on a bad day they got a scratch and new it would be tossed in court. But like you said they do get grief all day and do have one big area to cover.

Hookedup replied to cdgn troller's topic in Finger Lakes Discussion
I want to fish the Pro Am but wife thinks Red Cross derby will be best So see ya on Cayuga for trout and Cayuta for Bass. -
I will add driving the boat to the question. As far as the kids under 16 no problem, I run rods for my three and six year old, I have not tryed it for the baby yet

Fished Cayga around Long Point today with three guys from Sweden. The morning started off slow with only one nice Rainbow a laker and a big fish lost in the first four hours . The last hour of the trip the rain let up and the sun came out and we got on the fish We put six more BIG fish in the boat including a ten pound laker, and a double on the riggers a 32 inch laker and a 30 inch Bow that tryed his best to get in every line in the water. The guys did a great job geting them all in the boat. The Stinger penguin did its job today, and I could not buy a fish on a flasher/fly rig. The water temp was up to 64.4 on top and 51.4 down at 60' speed was 2.5 to 3.6 SOG. Marked alot of bait in over 30' of water and alot of lakers that are still siting down in 200'+ ( any day now things will set up). Also we ran into alot of weeds just South of Long Point.

If you have a boat go North, fish the top 80' FOW.

I have the HD-5 and the HD-10 networked together in my boat. So far so good I have the HD-5 in the back of the boat and even in full sun the display is great. I had the one of the LCX units from 2004 and the picture is alot better on the HD unit.

Thanks for the post, I have never fished a Pro Am. In the pro division do they do the score by 12 fish a day with 4 guys on the Boat? And then like the Scotty is it 10 points per fish and 1 point per pound? I hope to get in one this year. Nice job guys and thanks for the help. Sean

Thanks Guys, If you rigg up a rod holder that can hold a rod that your kids can stand or sit at, they can reel just about any thing in. As for reels I was running Okumas but I have a full box of Okuma convectors that are broke and they are all under two years old . I have had good luck with okuma catalinas and shimano tekotas. My 3 year old has reeled in 12 color core, cant get her to pick her room up but she will reel all day to see that fish.

Fished Cayuga today with the family. We got a late start, had the first lines in the water around 7:30am. I fished an area that has produced Bows in the past and we found them today. We put 5 Bows in the boat all of them were fat healthy fish that we were able to release . My 6 and 3 year old reeled them all in as well as 6 Lakers. I did keep 3 small lakers to keep the kids happy. Water temp was 55 on top and 51 at 60' down. All fish caught from 10' to 60' down on Stinger spoons the orange crush was hot today.

I have a Yamaha 9.9 4 stroke High thrust on a 23 ft parker. My boat is heavy and with the motors of the back it is at least 27 ft long. Going into the wind on the Sunday of the scotty we had some big waves and I never had it at full throtle. I had a 15 hp Merc 4 stroke Kicker on my 19ft Alumacraft and that did not push that 19ft boat as well as the 9.9 does my big boat. 6 to 7 MPH is all you will get out of any of them if the motor is not big enough to get the boat started on plane physics wont let it happen.

Go to Cayuga or Canandaigua It is hard to find the big one on Keuka

Fished Owasco this morning for four hours out of the North end Emerson Park. First lines in the water at 6:20 am first fish 6:21 am. It was non stop action after that for the next four hours. We put one big walleye in the boat lost another at the back of the boat, and then crushed the Rainbows one Big Bow went 33 inches the others were around 22 to 26 inches. We also put several Lakers in the boat up to 5lbs, the Lakers look good this year ( nice fat fish). All fish from top to down around 60 FOW, speed 2.0, all on spoons. If any of you guys jig for lakers the North end of the lake in around 35 to 50 ft of water is full of Lake Trout. We let most of the fish go but the guys did keep a few. the big bow is in the top pic on the left. See you guys on Seneca in the morning. Sean

Im with you Ray on this one . How many of you have lost equipment due to the above problem ? One incident is all it takes to get the mob motivated. I love it when some one from the get go ask for your name and badge number, and pulls out the cell phone video, just a note of advise if you do like Ray stated you end up with a lot less tickets in your hands. Ha Ha
