  1. What's different about the keel when you run copper?
  2. At golden hill there is the first section of a dock so its at least something. We put the boat with my kid in it and he kind of push poled it while we parked the truck, etc. I think I might try the oak and just bring my waders. Golden hill is also a little more forgiving because there is no current in that little bay where you launch.
  3. Where do you put in? Is there a launch you can pay to put in at the oak? it's tough without a dock.... Not impossible, just ta little tricky.
  4. Gotta see if its really that easy to post pics... by the way, its yankee trollers fault we went out, cuz he put fish posts up and my son read them... Just kidding..
  5. Went to Golden Hill with My son and a friend, went 5 for 7 on browns, only one other boat in the water, my friend almost clipped his board by mistake.... Sorry other boater. Anyway, fishing was great, 8-10 feet of water, 6 hits were off Orange J-9's, the other was a T-stick jr J36. No dock made for an interesting experience for sure..... Good times.. It's painfull trying to put pics on this site but I'll give it a try. Kept 4 in the 16-20" range for the grill this afternoon. Good luck all.
  6. I spooled mine on backwards too. Still that way, it works fine except the counter on the rigger goes backwards and the switch works opposite.
  7. I use the wet washcoth trick too and the screen comes right back up. I use a 10lb weight and it's not enough.
  8. Oak Orchard - 16th,17th,30th - wish i didnt have to work
  9. Fished the oak - took my dad, my son and his friend. Kind of slow but managed 5 for 5. 19lb king for my dad, 15 lb king with a lamprey on it for my son, and my son's freind got a 9 lb steelie. The other two were a jack and a 3-4 lb steeleie. Not sure how to add pics on this site. [/img]
  10. By far the most advice in a single post I have ever seen. Thanks.... I am just starting out myself. Jim
