  1. It said NYDEC and had the phone number as well as the band number. it was 26”. They are going to mail information on it. we had 2 boats and caught them on sticks as well as bottom bouncers. 60-65’ seemed best. willow blades, colorados, and Lindy rigs, all the normal colors i dont know what sticks the other guys were running. we also caught a few on blade baits in the evenings but mostly sheepies doing that
  2. Our group caught a pile over the weekend in Barcelona in a bit deeper water. We also got a tagged one, it was a jaw tag with number on it for reporting like a duck band. DEC said it is 10 years old. They also said now they do transmitters and when you fillet them a battery will fall out. Kinda cool.
  3. Got lucky and had one walk by this morning. He went about 75 yards and tipped over

  7. i agree with puking dog above, you can use any 209 primers. buying "muzzleloader" primers is overthinking it in my opinion
  8. I bought a couple of wildview cams for 25 each at dicks and they work decent
  9. Got lucky enough to have one pass by this morning. easy recovery , long drag. I gotta say luminocks are awesome for watching where you hit them

  16. i should have mentioned.... There was one other boat. we got 7 in a few hours. We caught a few on bayrats and rapalas, and 3 of them on 15a mother of pearl
  17. We fished olcott on Sunday and everything was good caught some browns and dodged icebergs in the creek on the way back in Ramp was perfect, we first tried oak and the ramp was too icy then tried golden hill but the plowed a snow pile in the road in front of the launch

  19. Had a buck come by I was fortunate put an arrow into. great time spent with my son on the hunt and recovery 😊

  23. We use hand pruners in the boat, it’s quick and easy
  24. i remember using muriatic acid when I did a 14 footer years ago to etch the aluminum. be well ventilated if you do so though, lots of fumes. im not sure if it is the best practice after googling, and it was so long ago I cant remember where the idea came from
