  1. I was just thinking that is the perfect "comparison picture" for people who aren't sure Nice catch
  2. We have the best luck with: BB - Modified - for Geese #4 - Improved - Ducks in marsh #2 - Improved - Ducks in fields #2 or BB - Modified - for Divers
  3. Very respectable. Good to see poeple with good ethics.
  4. Is the deadline the same for the open division for Niagara and Orleans?
  5. This post is pretty funny. We were in the red/white boat fishing by you all morning. Between you and us we pretty much had that water all to ourselves. We caught a boatload also. We caught everything except a king today. We needed more than two people on the boat, thats for sure. We even had three out of four rods release at the same time today. Laker Atlantic Brown Good Times
  6. The SNT will either work fine or just go blank screen. Without coated cable we used to get to about 70 feet and then the screen would go blank. With the coated cable it still goes blank at about 100 feet on our unit. Also, as it's been mentioned before, if the screen goes blank on you, wrap a wet rag or hand towel around the antenna. The "scientists" will tell you it has no effect but it works for some reason.
  7. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Calypso ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Time on Water: Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: Waves: Surface Temp: Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: Total Boated: Species Breakdown: Hot Lure: Trolling Speed: Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Went to Golden Hill with some friends today. Me and buddy on my boat, three others on another boat. Really slow day for us, we checked all over for temp and screen but there wasn't much at all today. We started at 200 and worked north, picking up a small king. Picked up the gear and went out deep (32 line) . Set the probe rod 70 over 550, set the first diver rod, started setting the second rigger and whamo , the probe rigger pops and just starts running to about 700 and finally stops, we were starting to panic. So we circle and bring it in and it hits the scale right around 28. After that it got real real slow again, we finished with 4 steelies including one that was snagged in the tail. We weighed it later for the orleans derby and it was 27.15 which doesn't hit the board but it might hit the orleans resident big fish for the time being. Hope the water sets up a little better for next weekend. Friend in the other boat we in search mode too and ended up with steelies and a mid 20's king Crappy cell phone pic
  8. The whole package is one I bought pre-rigged from atomik. I believe the leader is like 20 feet. I don't get break-offs, usually they take off rippin and we keep pressure on them to let them run, then after they stop it seems like they just drop. I tightened down on one while it was running and it bent one of the trebles (owner) and got off. Thanks for the suggestions.
  9. Does anyone else drop a lot of fish on longer coppers? I run a 500' down the chute, it takes it's share of hits, but we dont land very many. The dipseys and riggers take hits and we probably land 90 percent of them, but with the long copper its about 20 percent. All of the terminal tackle is the same, sharp hooks, etc. Maybe just a string of bad luck?
  10. I have 2 and like them more than the daiwas on the boat(great lakes sealines). Only thing is the drag is kind of quiet when they go off
  11. I think i was inside of you when you caught it and held it up to weigh it, my father in law kept sayin "its a laker", "its a laker". Nice fish hope it holds up for ya.
  12. I agree thanks a lot its fun to check it out. I think APOS is supposed to be an apostrophe
  13. Hey fishinman, we saw you out there. We also saw one bigger boat probably 20-25' come out, drive around a little , and then go back in. Tons of cars at the black north when we left too, must have been somethin goin on.

Little bit better bite but also a bit wavy. Went 8 for 8 today, all browns. GFR, Black / silver, Black/gold, perch, rebel bone glow all worked.
  15. Joe, your old boat will be on the lake too. We are gonna be going out of oak orchard this Saturday morning, J-9's and T-stick jrs already rigged and ready to go. I heard the docks aren't going in until Wednesday though so we will have to break out the waders again.
