Thanks Shade! -
Can someone please give me the address for the Wilson Invitational? I need to send the remainder of the entry money in, but I am not sure of the address. Thanks.

You can launch across the street at the Town of Newfane Marina which is Olcott. The Boat Doctors (778-8592) and the Slippery Sinker (778-0713) also have rooms. You can also try the Lighthouse Motel (778-7270). Their are also a bunch of other places that rent rooms.

You can call George at the Harbor campground across the street from the boat doctors on 18. His number is (716) 778-5190.

Thanks for your time and the info Billy. I think I will still purchase the deep cycle AGM batteries from West Marine, they have to be better than the starting batteries we have been using. Thanks!

Thanks Rick, Thanks Billy. I forgot to mention that if the water is ok, we will use our 9.9 merc kicker instead of our main motor. We never had a problem before trolling all day on our kicker and then firing up the main engine to run in on. If the new riggers don't draw much more than the old mag 10's, I think we will still be ok? We are weekend warriors, so I would like to get this resolved before we put the boat in for the year. We will not have much time to fish before the Wilson Invitational, so I would hate to spend that time working on the boat. Thanks again guys!

I hope someone can help us with some info. We used 4 old Cannon mag 10 riggers for years and never had any problems. We decided to upgrade and purchased 4 new Cannon digi-troll 5 riggers. One thing we did not think about was the power requirement of these new riggers. I was told by Cannon that only 2 riggers can be wired to a battery. We have 2 batteries and used West Marine (Seavolt) starting 650 batteries in the past and never had a power problem. I am thinking of purchasing West Marine (Seavolt) deep cycle AGM 105 batteries for extra power. Does anyone know how much more power these new riggers use compared to the old ones? Also, are the deep cycle AGM batteries worth the extra price? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought to new Tekota 800's for my copper rigs. Can anyone give me some info on line capacity. We're gonna put 600ft of 45 pound copper on them. i want the most backing i can put on em. i thought that 300yds of 40lb power pro would be OK. Will that fit? If not, what the best alternative. And i don't about anybody else but i am getting the itch baby, lets go fishing!!!!!!!!!!!

Vince P. could use our thoughts & prayers
wolfman replied to RUNNIN REBEL's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Vince, my mother passed away last fall and somebody sent this to me. I enjoyed it, and I hope you will too. I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sail to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other. Then somebody at my side says: There, she is gone! Gone where? Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and she is just as able to bear the load of living freight to her destined port. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when somebody at my side says: There, she is gone! There are other eyes watching her coming, and the voices ready to take up the glad shout: Here she comes! And that is dying. Henry Van Dyke -

Vince, Sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Tim and Bob -
Haha yeah we fished. We just seemed to be in and tied off just before u guys got in. What happened to Jeremy Monday morning? We were west of Wilson and i didn't even realize he wasn't moving when we passed him, then the coast guard showed up and towed him in. If we had known we would of assisted in anyway.
