  1. http://www.franksgreatoutdoors.com/fish ... board.html about 10 bucks cheaper a pop here
  2. Good grub and some drinks or somewhere with good scenery and drinks works too
  3. We got a room for the weekend, where is the best place in Lockport to grab a few beverages?
  4. What kind of hours on the engine?
  5. Once you apply the woody wax you won't have any more issues everything rinses right off even if there is a little dried blood that I don't get right away with the wash-down pump.
  6. Storm we canceled our trip because of the weather. We have an open seat next weekend if your available.
  7. I fish Erie mostly and rough water is our game, 3-5s are a nice normal day for us if we waited for Lake O water we would never fish. I have never had a plastic Amish board flip on me running snubbers with my boards, and I do not know of anyone in my circle, everyone runs amish or Auroras, that have had one flip and dive. Will they dive if they flip sure they will, but the way they pull and with the snubbers I don't see flipping happening. Of course I only average 80 days on the water a year pulling boards, but the vast majority of charters on Erie run these boards as well. Multiple long coppers on one board and they still pull hard, no modifications needed. Just my .02
  8. Boat name is KingPin I have a slip reserved to hopefully avoid some of the commotion, and with the Scotty going on in Oswego that weekend I thought that may alleviate some of the pressure out West
  9. Badluck I am an Erie eye guy as well and will be in Olcott the same weekend as you. I will be getting in Friday evening maybe we could hook up and I could help with any questions you have. I usually make a few trips to Olcott a year and am by no means an expert on Lake O but we usually catch some nice feesh.
  10. Put X-4 on last year no issues except the POS plastic mounting bracket that comes with it, spend the 15$ and get the Metal one. I give their customer service a big plus though as I busted mine off and they shipped me the metal bracket next day for just the cost of shipping(free bracket) of course shipping was more than bracket
  11. Have used Amish outfitters plastic boards and the otter boats on my boat but not with a double keel. The amish boards pull harder on my boat by far no issues with multiple cores or coppers. I have used the Auroras on anothers boat and they are the hardest pulling boards I have personally seen. I have to turn towards the amish and put er in neutral to get em in.

  14. The thermacell works great on Erie for me at keeping those horse sized black flies away in the summer and keeps the skeeters away at night while cleaning feesh at camp, never tried it on the gnats though.
  15. Due to work putting me in this area for most of the summer I have decided to bring my boat up and do some fishing while I am here. I fish mostly Lake Erie for Walleyes and steelhead but have the Salmon gear as well, I do a few trips out of Olcott each year. My questions pertain to boat launches in the area and what kind of Fishing I can expect in The May and June timeframes mostly. I will be fishing in the evenings as I will be heading home or back To Erie on the weekends. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, JK
