  1. Matt, Don't listen to those guys who are giving you grief for doing something LEGAL. I've fished with you and I know you are a man of ethics. I love your posts and my only problem with you is that I don't get out to fish as often as you and I'm jealous  keep up the good work, I hope to get up there and take a lesson from you soon!
  2. you must have had fish on constantly and even multiples. what a great day and those are nice looking fish. congrats
  3. newbie myself and have not met you yet, but jason says good things about you and your a stand up guy. You must be if you hang out with jason and ray!! I hope your recovery is smooth and speedy. Take Care rodney (kremer01)
  4. jason my 13 year old found out that we went out with my 9 year old when he got home from school this afternoon. my 13 year old said "no way thats not fair i want to go back out with jason on the lake". me thinks you got something good going on here... any way I hope I can get these pics on from our trip today. we had a blast as usual when we get out with you and he was so tired from reeling in fish he fell asleep on the way home rodney (kremer01) out
  5. I love it when people want to "tail net" a salmon, like putting a tailer on a shark. It NEVER works and have seen too many people hit the line and break it or pull the hooks out by hitting the line as the salmon swims AWAY from the net! When a fish is hooked in the mouth have you ever seen it swim backward?? Net it head first and make sure the first pass with the net is a good deep one and you'll get it most of the time. Or just do what jason and I do and let the fish have a fighting chance and land them by hand
  6. my boss was in from Detroit yesterday and said he paid 1.98 per gallon with cash. It was 2.09 with a charge card. anyone else heard of the discount by paying with cash? My parents in Ohio are paying 2.19
  7. sorry I missed it and glad you guys had a good time. Sounds like the action was good too, you couldn't even finish your phone call to me bragging about being on the lake while I was working because you were getting too many hits. I was green with envy....
  8. On the lake with jason and at the dock my son with 2 of the 10
  9. went out with jason and his brother and my son. we were on seneca and did well on lakers. it is posted on the finger lakes section. awesome day for the first of november. we went 10 for 15 with 2 newbies on board (me and my 13 year old).

  13. jason, thanks a lot for a great day on the water in Nov!!! that was my first laker and my son's first laker too. He had a great time fishing with us and he was pretty worn out from all of the reeling. the weather was great and so was the company. I'll send you the couple shots we got soon. kremer01
  14. Why don't they sedate the bears a little first then take off with the truck and monitor from afar???
  15. cooked shrimp, small sizes, 5-6' down. And you are correct it is a good snack too!! nothing like that and a few be(er)verages when its slow
  16. You could also try shrimp under a float. It works great for Steelhead in Lake Mich and even kings sometimes. I haven't tried it in LO yet, but it should produce. anyone do that here?
  17. I tried looking for the big white van in the driveway yesterday, but I couldn't find it. Then I went to Pulaski and guess what? I found it there! Oops - didn't mean to out you Ray!
  18. flip the 20 car over and use it as a boat - that is all it is good for now - has a good engine and a built in driver. Just have to make sure you slow down to a good troll speed and don't take it out with too much chop!
  19. Ray are you sure you could pass the physical to be the 'milker'? P.S. You don't get to choose - its all or none!
  20. wow, never mind harvesting, these people would like to ban even catch and release fishing!?!?! My gosh what is next....
  21. very nice pix - you can never have too much fish please no!
  22. I'm from Indiana and they have strict laws against this (we call it 'zipping' a fish). If you are caught you get a big fine. what alot of people do not understand is that there is natural reproduction going on and the decaying carcasses provide a lot of nutrients that need to go back in the water for food for smolts and other marine life. Letting them rot on shore or in the trash can does not do anything good except for rodents, maggots, etc.
  23. nice looking boat you got there welcome
  24. welcome - I'm a new guy myself, but so far this is an excellent site with lots of good people and information.
